World of Warcraft: Shadowlands – All Armor Rune Vessels (And How to Get Them)

Players that want to craft Legendary Armor in World of Warcraft‘s Shadowlands expansion are going to need to obtain Rune Vessels. In fact, fans will be instructed to collect one of these Armor Rune Vessels as part of The Final Pieces quest that comes from the Runecarver in Torghast. For those players that may be confused about exactly what these Rune Vessels in World of Warcraft are, and where they come from, this guide is here to help.

To put things simply, Rune Vessels in Shadowlands are the base items that players will imbue with Legendary Powers, and there are Vessels associated with the Head, Shoulders, Chest, Wrist, Hands, Waist, Legs, Feet, Neck, Back, and Finger slots. Additionally, the Armor Rune Vessels for the first eight of those slots come in Cloth, Leather, Mail, and Plate variants, and indeed players will want to target the set that is appropriate for their class. To assist with that endeavor, here is a list of all of those Rune Vessels divided by armor type:

And here are the three Rune Vessels that are shared by all classes in World of Warcraft:

  • Shadowghast Necklace (Neck)
  • Grim-Veiled Robe (Back)
  • Shadowghast Ring (Finger)

With all of the Shadowlands Armor Rune Vessels established, it is now possible to talk about where they come from, and the answer is Shadowlands crafters. Indeed, Cloth Rune Vessels are created by Tailors, Leather and Mail Rune Vessels are created by Leatherworkers, and Plate Rune Vessels are created by Blacksmiths. And with regard to the shared pieces, those are made by Jewelcrafters (Neck/Finger) and Tailors (Back).

As such, the ways to get Rune Vessels in Shadowlands is to either craft them or purchase them from a crafter/the Auction House. There is one final thing that WoW players should be aware of before pursuing one of those options, though, and that is that Rune Vessels can be crafted at four Ranks. These Rank will ultimately determine the stats of the Legendary Armor that is created using the Rune Vessel, with Rank 4 being the most powerful of the bunch.

World of Warcraft is available now for PC.
