World of Warcraft: Shadowlands has introduced a massive new map filled with all sorts of content, abilities, and new mounts. For those looking to collect some of the new mounts in Shadowlands, there is one rare spawn quest that will bring them to Revendreth to kill rare spawn called Harika the Horrid, but first they’ll need a Dredhollow Bolt.
Harika is a rare spawn only found in the Banewood zone of Revendreth, south of Wanecrypt Hill. It’s a giant, bat-like creature that roams the area. Although it drops some cool loot, including a possible Horrid Dredwing mount drop, the bat remains in the sky and out of reach of the player. At least until they begin the quest chain in Banewood to kill it.
Players will want to kill this and several other elites as part of the Shadowlands Covenant Adventurers quests for Revendreth, but Harika cannot be damaged until players bring a Dredhollow Bolt to Wingsmash, a friendly elite that wants to down the bat. He will load the Dredhollow Bolt into the Dredterror Ballista nearby, hitting Harika and engaging the Dredwing in battle with the player and Windsmash working together. But in order to load the Ballista, players first have to find the Bolt.
There appear to be three possible locations of Dredhollow Bolts in World of Warcraft: Shadowlands. It could be in any one of those three places, so players should circle the area. It will look like a giant black harpoon type weapon, significantly larger than the player’s toon.
The three locations where players have found the bolt most often have been:
- 43.23 77.62
- 42.19 80.67
- 42.22 73.57
Once players find one of the bolts, they can return to Wingsmash at 46.30 77.86, who will take the bolt, load the ballista and bring the giant red bat down to earth so players can battle it. The respawn timer for both Harika and the Bolts are unknown, but players shouldn’t have any problems picking up a bolt in one of those three locations. Taking Harika down will help Shadowlands players to level up their renown and possibly even get a Dredwing Mount to drop as well.
If players still can’t find the Bolt, they should look around on the ground. This questline has been updated at least twice by Blizzard, making it a little easier to get the Bolt both times. So if those three locations are a bust, keep an eye on the ground in the surrounding areas; Blizzard may have added more locations in a recent patch. Still having troubles? No worries; there are plenty of other elites to kill in World of Warcraft Shadowlands at Level 60.
World of Warcraft: Shadowlands is available for PC.
