10 Awesome Triumphs Hidden In Destiny 2: Beyond Light | Game Rant

This article contains spoilers for Destiny 2: Beyond Light‘s Deep Stone Crypt raid.

Destiny 2: Beyond Light is packed with secrets for the community to uncover. Discovering collectibles such as Entropic Shards and dead Exos is required for certain quests, but Europa has much more to offer than just these two secrets.

Triumphs tied to Europa are typically linked to tough challenges or obscure secrets. Empire Hunts, Lost Sectors, penguins, and raid-specific tasks are just a few things tied to these Triumphs. Those that are hunting Triumph score, titles, or are completionists will want to complete a few of these. Here are ten awesome Triumphs players can earn in Destiny 2: Beyond Light.

10 Studying Darkness

Studying Darkness: Find all Entropic Shards scattered across Europa.

One of the first secrets Guardians will have to uncover involves Europa’s Entropic Shards. These miniature Darkness pyramids hold the key to unlocking new Aspects for each Stasis Subclass. All nine of them must be destroyed to obtain the Studying Stasis Triumph, allowing Guardians to obtain their second Aspect.

For those looking to find all nine Entropic Shards, consult this guide. Note that you will need Salvation’s Grip to break the Entropic Shards.

9 Salvage The Past

Salvage the past: Find all dead Exo collectibles hidden across Europa.

Similar to Europa’s Entropic Shards, there are nine dead Exos scattered throughout the icy moon that grant small snippets of dialogue when interacted with. Only five of these Exos need to be found to complete the first step in the Lament quest, but those that are Triumph-hunting will want to find all nine Exos. Finding all nine grants the Salvage the Past Triumph.

They give some great insight into the failure of the first generation of Exos and how they changed over time. For those that want to find all nine of them, check out this great guide by Eric Switzer.

8 Aspiration Denied

Aspiration Denied: In the “Eliksni Evacuation” step of the Dark Priestess Empire Hunt, summon all 3 Archon Aspirants at once and defeat them within 90 seconds.

Empire Hunts have a few Triumphs associated with them. While most of these Triumphs are focused on beating elected-difficulty hunts, there are a few that require Guardians to complete the busywork steps differently.

Aspiration Denied is a great example of this, requiring Guardians to summon and destroy all three Archon Aspirants within 90 seconds of spawning. This requires players to interact with all three pylons holding the Skiff hostage in Eventide Ruins, dramatically increasing the difficulty of this step. Completing it grants ten Triumph score and a Skiff hologram to place in Beyond’s camp.

7 Reuniting The Eventide Rookery

Reuniting the Eventide Rookery: A penguin toy given to the children of Eventide, courtesy of Mr. Clovis Bray. We should reunite this one with its friends.

Similar to the Dreaming City cats and the Moon’s Daito rabbits, Europa has nine Penguin Souveniers for players to find. Unlike previous collectibles mentioned on this list, the penguins are introduced once per week. It seems that there will be a penguin for every location on Europa once the final once released on January 5th.

Once found, these collectibles can be placed in a room behind Variks in Charon’s Crossing. All nine must be found to obtain the Reuniting the Eventide Rookery Triumph, which is tied to obtaining the Splinterer title. Why collecting penguins is tied to defeating the Fallen House of Salvation is anyone’s guess.

6 Europan Tour

Europan Tour: Earn a score of 1400 or more in the Europa Destination Triumphs.

Europan Tour requires players to attain 1,400 or more Triumph score related to Europa. A unique ship named the Last Flight Home is granted upon completing Europan Tour, giving players an extra incentive to find the planet’s various secrets.

Empire Hunts, Variks bounties, and the Deep Stone Crypt raid all count towards a player’s Europa Triumph score.

5 Flawless Master Of The Hunt

Flawless Master of the Hunt: Complete any Empire Hunt on Master difficulty without dying.

Flawless objectives, otherwise known as completing an activity without dying, is becoming more commonplace in Destiny 2. Dungeons and raids are typically the only activities that have flawless-related Triumphs, but it seems that Empire Hunts have joined the fray.

Completing the Flawless Master of the Hunt Triumph requires players to finish a Master-elected Empire Hunt without anyone dying, including teammates. Fortunately, players can skip Champions and still get the Triumph. While not tied to any title or camp cosmetic, this Triumph does grant a unique Shader called Gilded Frost upon completion.

4 Augmented Obsession

Augmented Obsession: Complete all the Augment Triumphs.

After the Morning Star crashed into Europa, the Deep Stone Crypt raid’s mechanics made their way into the patrol space. Every week, one location on Europa will become eclipsed with the space station’s debris. These zones will spawn augments straight from the raid if players have Variks’ Braytech Transponder item.

With the Transponder, head to the eclipsed zone and look for an invisible Fallen enemy with the Scanner augment. Kill everyone nearby to make the invisible Fallen vulnerable, allowing players to kill them and take their buff. That buff will denote a location on Europa that players must travel to. Once at the location, certain drones in the area will glow yellow, denoting which drone is vulnerable. Destroy clusters of drones in sequence to obtain the various Augment Triumphs on Europa. Obtaining all eight Augment Triumphs will complete the Augmented Obsession Triumph.

3 Heroic Guardian

Heroic Guardian: While in a fireteam, complete Heroic patrols on Europa.

Lost Sectors weren’t the only activity that got a difficulty spike in Beyond Light. Patrols on Europa also have Heroic variants that only spawn in eclipsed zones. Complete patrols in an eclipsed zone for a chance of spawning a Heroic variant, distinguishable by their golden background color.

These patrols grant Herealways Pieces and blue-quality gear on completion. The rewards might be lacking, but those that are looking to hunt Triumphs will want to get a fireteam together and complete these for the Heroic Guardian Triumph. Completing Heroic patrols solo does not count.

2 5 Seconds To Paradise

5 Seconds to Paradise: Defeat Atraks-1 while destroying all Servitors within 5 seconds of each other.

Raid teams will need to coordinate one extra mechanic during the Atraks-1 fight if they want to obtain the 5 Seconds to Paradise Triumph. During the Atraks-1 fight in the Deep Stone Crypt raid, players must destroy every Servitor on Europa and space within five seconds of each other.

Designate a player to each Servitor that spawns. Since there are three Servitors and three Guardians in each arena, this should be rather easy to coordinate. Have everyone lower the health of the Servitors but without killing them. When everyone is ready, all players finish their Servitor off and immediately destroy the Atraks-1 clone that the Scanner calls out. It’s a unique way to handle the encounter that is required for those that want the Descendant title.

1 Short Circuit

Short Circuit: Confront Taniks while depositing all 4 nuclear cores within 10 seconds of each other.

Short Circuit requires players in the Deep Stone Crypt raid to deposit four Nuclear Cores within ten seconds of each other during the third encounter. For clarity, this refers to when players encounter Taniks on the Morning Star and not the final boss fight.

As of writing this, no one knows how to spawn four Nuclear Cores simultaneously during this encounter. Some raid teams have “juggled” the third ball around and used an out-of-bounds glitch to refresh their Radiation stacks, although depositing four cores simultaneously using this method does not grant the Triumph. Either this Triumph is time-gated or it involves a mechanic currently not known to the community. If this Triumph is bugged, juggling an extra Nuclear Core during the third encounter is quite the task. Completing Short Circuit is required for the Descendant title.
