Demon’s Souls: Best Rings To Use For Any Magic Build | Game Rant

Ah, magic. Where would Demon’s Souls be without it? Many players rely on magic to get through different sections of the game. It is useful to kill bosses with, traverse areas, and even keeping oneself alive. Part of any magic build is having some good rings to increase magical potential, deal more damage, and have more spells.

Rings will spell the difference between life and death in Demon’s Souls, especially for magic users. They tend to have less health and stamina so it is important to use rings to help with shortcomings.

The Thief Ring helps distance fighters by making it harder for enemies to detect them. Any magic-user will be helped by the Thief Ring, as it allows them to get in shots on enemies before they can even notice.

A great thing about this ring is how easy it is to obtain. Players can find it at the beginning of the game in the Gates of Boletaria, with Ostrava being found on a ledge in the area. Players who come across an enemy throwing firebombs from a room filled with explosive barrels can take the side route of jumping over the railing. They will land next to Ostrava and the Thief Ring.

The Clever Rat’s Ring is useful for any player, including magical ones. This ring increases all damage by 50% whenever a player’s health drops below 30%. This also works with spells and miracles, but not projectiles.

This ring is found in the Prison of Hope. In this area is a large statue that, when players enter the area, will open up and begin firing arrows across a long bridge. Players can either take the long route around the bridge or charge across dodging the arrows. Once the statue is turned off, simply cross the bridge and snag the ring.

Magic-users are usually lacking in health. It’s not their fault, magic is just too demanding with Intelligence and Magic stats. For players who need that extra boost to health, they can get it from the Ring of Longevity. This ring increases health by 5%.

It may not be much, but it may mean taking an extra hit. Some players may have gotten this ring from the start with the deluxe edition, but others can receive this ring from Sparkly the Crow. A Pure Bladestone needs to be traded for the ring.

Miracles are spells players can perform that are dependent on Faith rather than Magic. The Ring of Sincere Prayer is for those who delve into casting miracles. This ring increases Miracle Power by 50% but it makes miracles take 10% longer to cast.

This ring is acquired by killing Maiden Astraea, who can be found at the end of the Archstone of the Chieftain. She is rather difficult to kill for unskilled players, but there is a way to cheese her with arrows to make life easier.

Some spells take one slot, others take two. Thankfully, no spells take three. For players who want that extra spell at their disposal, the Ring of Magical Nature will give it to them. This ring takes a little while to get to, as players will need to access the area where Yuria is being held captive.

To reach her, the full Fat Official’s armor set, the Iron Ring of Keys, and the Bloody Iron Key are needed. Once players have all of these items, they can access the area where the ring is and also rescue Yuria.

While the Ring of Magical Nature gives an extra spell slot, the Ring of Devout Prayer gives players an extra miracle slot. There are a few ways to get this ring. First, players can trade the Large Sword of Moonlight to Sparkly the Crow. Second, players can trade the Crest of Vinland to Selen Vinland in the Swamp of Sorrow.

Lastly, players can kill Saint Urbain, who is located in the area following the Adjudicator boss fight. Rescuing him is preferred, however, because he teaches players miracles.

Having lower health is bad enough, but being in spirit form lowers health even further. The Cling Ring allows players to retain more health while in spirit form, which is always useful.

Getting the ring is rather easy and can be retrieved early on, as it is located in the Gates of Boletaria. Once players reach the top of the castle wall, they will come across a Blue-Eye Knight and a fog wall. Near where the Blue-Eye Knight waits is the Cling Ring. Pick it up from atop the wall.

The Dull Rat’s Ring increases player defense by 50% whenever their health is below 30%. This ring is useful for any magic-user when enemies happen to get too close for comfort. Players can retrieve this ring from Lord Rydell in the Prison of Hope.

To get to him, players will need to find the key to his cell. They will first encounter him as a blue spirit begging for help, and he will state that his body is in another cell. The key to that cell can be found at the top of the first chain tower in the area following the Fool’s Idol boss.

The Regenerator’s Ring is useful for almost any player since it gives health regeneration at a rate of 4hp/sec while it is worn. Getting it can be done in two ways. In the Island’s Edge, players can travel through the area past where the Vanguard Demon is. The path is pretty straight forward and leads to a crumbling castle area. Through one of the doors, players will find a ledge that leads them to the ring.

The shorter path is to go up the tower right before the Vanguard Demon. Players will recognize it by the fog wall on their first run through the area. Go along the wall to the other tower and roll of the ledge. This will make the player fall down to where the ring is.

This ring comes at a cost. It increases magical attack power by 20% but decreases magical defense by 40%. Still, this ring is useful for many magic-users who want to dish out damage. This ring can be found in the Prison of Hope.

Players spawn in on the 4th floor. While traversing the area and unlocking doors, they will find a room with four iron maidens. Inside one of them is the key. Be careful, enemies with poison blades might jump out.
