Rumor: Fortnite Season 5 Could Be Adding Wolves | Game Rant

Fortnite Season 5 just started this past week, but it’s already shaping up to be one of the most ambitious seasons of the battle royale yet. Things kicked off with a Mandalorian crossover, and the game has since added God of War‘s Kratos to the mix as well. Rumors indicate that Halo‘s Master Chief will soon be added as a Fortnite skin, and there are plenty of other leaks to give fans an idea of what they can expect from the game as the season goes on.

One Fortnite rumor suggests that the battle royale will soon be adding wolves. This rumor originated from YouTuber Tabor Hill, known for their accurate Fortnite leaks. In a YouTube video that aired days prior to Fortnite Season 5’s start, Hill made the claim that tamable wolves would be coming to the game in some capacity. Since Hill’s video, however, there’s been even more compelling evidence pointing to Fortnite Season 5 adding wolves.

A few days after Hill’s video, Epic Games confirmed that Kratos from God of War would be featured in the new season of Fortnite. Kratos was announced for the game with a short trailer that, as pointed out by FortniteIntel, showed him fighting a wolf. Needless to say, this seems to be the best indication to date that Fortnite will indeed be adding wolves at some point later in the season.

This wouldn’t be the first time that Fortnite has added animals to the battle royale map. The start of Fortnite‘s big Chapter 2 update saw the addition of fish to the game, with players able to use fishing rods to catch and collect them. Then earlier this year, Fortnite added loot sharks, which were found in the water that covered the BR map for quite some time.

Fortnite Season 5 has ushered in a brand new battle royale maps for fans of the game to explore, which consists of new and familiar locations. And in the case of Salty Towers, amalgamation of some of the game’s previous named areas. This new Fortnite map features significantly less water than the previous map, so it makes sense for it to add a land-based animal instead of something like sharks.

Of course, the wolf in the Fortnite Kratos announcement trailer could simply be used by Epic Games to highlight the new character and may not mean anything significant beyond that. Fans shouldn’t count on Fortnite Season 5 adding wolves until an official announcement is made.

Fortnite is out now for PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
