Pro Gamer Gets New Gaming Chair Stolen from Front Porch

Professional gamers certainly have a lot of practicing to do, and while gaming chairs can make the grind a good bit comfier, one pro will be missing a part of their setup. In an odd turn of events, a pro Call of Duty: Warzone player has had their new gaming chair stolen, catching the entire incident on camera.

Tommey, the first Call of Duty: Warzone player to join the 100 Thieves esports team, posted a video of the incident online. While the player should be preparing for his team’s involvement in the Call of Duty League next season, he has instead had to deal with his property being stolen. While Tommey requested the security footage “in the hope we’d be able to report and find the man,” the criminal is unfortunately covered from head to toe.

Driving up to Tommey’s house in a truck, the thief makes sure his vehicle’s bed is empty before casually walking up to the pro player’s porch. Grabbing the large box that holds the new gaming chair within, the person begins to sprint back to their truck. Likely a bit nervous and dropping the attempt to act natural, the chair-stealer sets the box in the back of the vehicle before speeding off. Unfortunately, the video ends there, with no real evidence as to who committed the crime.

Tommey seems unphased following the theft of the chair, however. While he may be frustrated and disappointed by the actions of the person stealing the chair, Tommey does not wish ill upon the person. Instead, the pro player says, “Merry Christmas, random man,” adding that he hopes “the chair brings [him] lots of joy.” While it is unlikely that the person stealing the chair will ever be found, it is nice to see that Tommey is taking the high road and is not too shaken up by the events that transpired.

The member of 100 Thieves has plenty of options for acquiring a new gaming chair, and with gaming chair sales sure to pick up for the holiday season, Tommey should be able to secure another version of the chair that he wants. Still, the comments section of the tweet was filled with the streamer’s fans sharing their condolences, with some users even offering to buy the player a replacement chair. One comment from Twitter user @AJMngmt called the act “sickening,” adding that they “will never understand how people feel comfortable with robbing something.”

The clip is equally bizarre and frustrating, as the man stealing the chair likely had no idea what was inside the box. Regardless, it seems that video game chairs are just as likely as any other item to be stolen, and the video should serve as a good reminder to all buyers that packages are not truly safe until they are inside a home.
