Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Season 1 Weapons Leak Early

Following it’s launch last month, Call of Duty fans have been waiting for the integration between the free to play Warzone with Black Ops Cold War. Originally scheduled for this week, the launch of Season 1 as well as the mode integration was unfortunately delayed beyond the planned December 10 start date. While the new date is only a week later on December 16, it seems some of the content recently teased have already been leaked earlier than expected.

While new modes, story, weapons, and other content were recently teased in the Season 1 trailer for Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, dataminers have seemingly discovered some of the new content earlier than Activision likely intended. Not only is some of this content inside the game’s files already, three of the new weapons are already listed inside of the game’s Combat Record and Calling Cards following the most recent update for Black Ops Cold War.

Call of Duty Tracker on Twitter has seemingly compiled the newly found weapons which are identified as the Groza Assault Rifle, MAC-10 Submachine Gun, and the Streetsweeper Shotgun. While the Groza and MAC-10 can be found inside of the Combat Record, all three weapons now have their own Mastery Calling Cards that can easily be seen from the game’s menus. While Activision has yet to comment or confirm the new weapons, it’s a bit strange that these would be added to the game only to not be released in the coming Season 1 update.

While specific stats for these weapons are not known yet, players can get an early look at the Mastery requirements and rewards for these weapons. As expected, players will need to first earn Marksman, Sharpshooter and Expert badges for each weapon to earn the Mastery Calling Card. Players will also unlock 5,000XP as well, which should help in getting players to the Prestige tier.

In addition to new weapons, Season 1 looks to be bringing a lot more content and updates for Black Ops Cold War players. The most recent trailer highlighted a new character named Stitch, a former KGB agent who, according to the game’s lore, helped create the Nova-6 gas until he was captured and tortured by Russell Adler. New maps were also shown off including previously leaked ones like the Mall at the Pines, a 1980s inspired shopping mall. Rebirth Island was also once again heavily teased after numerous leaks appear to have shown it off earlier than intended. While its inclusion in Season 1 is still a mystery, it appears to be coming at some point.

Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War is out now for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
