Worms Rumble is featured as one of the free PS Plus games for December 2020, serving as the PlayStation 5 offering for the month. Worms Rumble has enjoyed a fairly active online community since launch, likely in no small part thanks to its status as a PS Plus title, and now fans can look forward to a free content update for the game next week.
Team17 has announced the Worms Rumble Deadly Docks update, launching for the game on December 17. The Worms Rumble Deadly Docks update adds the new “Deadly Docks” map to the game, which should be playable in both the standard deathmatch and battle royale game modes. Alongside the Deadly Docks map, Worms Rumble players can expect a slew of new premium items to purchase as well.
As expected, much of the new premium content in Worms Rumble, purchased with microtransactions, are skins themed after the Deadly Docks update. Players will have a variety of sea captain and shark skins to choose from once they download the update on December 17, plus there will also be new emotes and the Armageddon weapon skin pack available in the Worms Rumble shop as well.
Those interested in Worms Rumble should note that they can download it at no additional charge through their PlayStation Plus subscription between now and January 4. At that point, both Worms Rumble and Bugsnax are set to be removed from the PS Plus lineup, though their replacement has yet to be announced. We do know that February 2021 will see Destruction AllStars added to PS Plus, though, so fans have that to look forward to at the very least.
Worms Rumble is out now for PC, PS4, and PS5.
