Call of Duty Mobile is set to kick off its 13th season of content very soon, but before the new season begins, developer TiMi Studios has shared one final Season 12 surprise with fans. For the next few weeks, Call of Duty Mobile players will be able to play a special new game mode on the Hackney Yard map.
Call of Duty Mobile added Hackney Yard back at the start of November, with the popular Call of Duty: Modern Warfare map proving a good fit for the on-the-go gameplay of the mobile FPS. With a Night Mode variation available as well, Hackney Yard has seen a lot of play time in recent weeks. However, it seems like Call of Duty Mobile players will be spending even more time with the map to bring the season to a close, as a new game mode has been revealed that takes place on the map.
Call of Duty Mobile initially teased a new game mode via a “Live Monitoring” of Hackney Yard, a much briefer version of the 12-hour livestream that was released to hype up Season 12. Hinted at in the video’s description, the mode was later confirmed via the official Call of Duty Mobile Twitter account. Like the reveal of Call of Duty Mobile’s snowy battle royale location, a picture accompanied the announcement, showing players that the latest offering puts a major twist on the timeless game mode Team Deathmatch.
Call of Duty Mobile’s many players will be able to enjoy 10v10 play on Hackney Yard, something that should prove exciting to anyone that enjoys more hectic Call of Duty gameplay on maps like Nuketown and Shipment. Introduced back in August, Call of Duty Mobile’s 10v10 gameplay is an absolute mess, which is a major part of the mode’s appeal. Players always have a fight to get into due to the higher player count, and there is not a second of down time from beginning to end.
Hackney Yard seems like the perfect size for a 10v10 map on Call of Duty Mobile, and players should enjoy the special playlist while it is available. Anyone interested in 10v10 Hackney Yard will want to get on the game quick, however, as Season 13 is on the way. With a new Call of Duty Mobile map arriving in Season 13 alongside two new weapons, there should be plenty to do in the game for the foreseeable future.
