Cyberpunk 2077‘s jobs tend to tell players what they need to do every step of the way. While these instructions are usually enough, there are times when the quests get a bit confusing or not enough context is provided. That’s the case with the “Gig: Wakako’s Favorite” quest, as players are asked to follow the lights but not told much else.
This part of Cyberpunk 2077‘s story can be a bit confusing, as players aren’t told what they need to do or which lights to follow. To make matters worse, the lighting in this area is abysmal, so players are often finding themselves straining their eyes in order to see.
Though a dark room is better than one that causes epileptic siezures, it’s best to spend as little time as possible hanging around in this area, so finding the light quickly and following it to the objective is important. Though there are several lights in the room, the one players are looking for is a bright, glowing, red light in one of the corners of the room.
Head over to this red light and notice a hallway leading away, continuing on to the next red light until the hallway dead ends. Below the player there’s a trap door that can be opened that leads to another red light. Players will need to open this and then crouch to squeeze through the space created by the door. This will lead to yet another hallway lit up with red lights, this time with only one way to go. Be wary of the laser mines dotting the wall and be sure to disable them with tech or other methods before proceeding.
This hallway also dead ends, but this time players can jump back up into another room. The lighting is still terrible, but at the very least the “Follow the Lights” quest objective is over now. At this point, just take the shard found on the shelf to the right and then head back to Chang Hoon Nam’s neural port. Be sure to take the newly opened shortcut rather than going all the way back through the dark tunnels in order to save time and a headache from straining one’s eyes too much.
After helping Chang Hoon Nam, he offers to teach V some netrunning tricks. On the way back out, the laser mines will be colored green indicating that they are friendly. This time players don’t need to worry about disarming them thankfully and can just head out and get onto the next objective.
Cyberpunk 2077 is available now on PC, PS4, Stadia, and Xbox One, and later on PS5 and Xbox Series X.
