More Xbox Free Games With Gold for December 2020 Are Available Now

Xbox Games with Gold has already delivered two games this month, with players getting access to Saints Row: Gat out of Hell on the Xbox 360 and The Raven Remastered on Xbox One. However, the service is still slated to deliver two more games for its December 2020 lineup, with both titles officially hitting the marketplace for subscribers earlier today.

The titles in question are Bleed 2 for Xbox One and Stacking for Xbox 360, with the former supposedly staying on Games with Gold until January 15 next month and the latter leaving on December 31. With their debut, Saints Row: Gat out of Hell and last month’s Swimsanity! will officially be leaving Games With Gold tomorrow, although The Raven Remastered will remain on the service until December 31.

For those unacquainted with both indie titles, Bleed 2 is a high-octane action platformer that sees players assume the role of Wryn, one of the greatest and only remaining heroes in the game’s world. Players must battle against villains and other world-ending threats throughout the campaign, wielding a number of abilities such as air-dodging, bullet-reflecting, and more. The game is even rendered in a retro arcade style and features randomly generated levels that ensure the game is infinitely replayable. It has garnered some good reviews since its original release back in 2018 and is sure to be a good dose of fun for players this holiday season.

Meanwhile, Stacking comes via Double Fine, the developers behind the likes of Psychonauts, Grim Fandango, and Day of the Tentacle. The title takes place in a fictionalized and frequently surreal version of the Industrial Age featuring Russian Dolls as its leads, with the player taking control of a small doll called Charlie Blackmoore. Similar to previous Double Fine titles, the game features a humorous story and fun puzzle gameplay, as the player can use Charlie to slot into bigger dolls and control them to complete challenges. It was well-received upon release and stands as yet another fun iteration of Double Fine’s unique vision.

Both titles are claimable now, so those wanting to ensure they get their hands on them can hop online and add them to their library. While the lineup of games this month has some notable titles, it seems the Xbox fanbase is slightly disappointed with the selection, with many wanting next-generation games to play on their Xbox Series X. It’ll be interesting to see whether Microsoft opts to include more optimized for Series X games in its future Games with Gold drops, especially as more and more people get their hands on the company’s newest slice of hardware.
