Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War launched with a wide arrangement of scorestreak opportunities. Although the new title changed how each scorestreak was earned, the effect and destructive potential of each stayed relatively the same. With Season 1 launching, Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War is receiving a brand new scorestreak that many fans may find familiar.
The new H.A.R.P scorestreak should look familiar to veterans of the Call of Duty franchise. This new scorestreak has been teased in recent trailers, and with the official release incoming, many fans wonder what this new Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War scorestreak has to offer. This is only the first of what could be many new scorestreaks in the future of Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War.
The new H.A.R.P scorestreak will cost players 6,000 points. The flying jet will reveal enemy locations on the minimap, but unlike a UAV, it will also tell players which direction the enemy is facing. Fans remember this mechanic as the Blackbird or Advanced UAV scorestreak from previous games, the only difference being that the H.A.R.P can be shot down by enemy players. This is only one piece of the content coming in Season One’s release that will change the way that Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War multiplayer is played.
During the Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War beta, the developers announced that they would be adding in new scorestreaks throughout the game’s lifespan. To see the first one appear is exciting for the community, as it opens new opportunities on the battlefield. Still, it makes many fans wonder what other surprises Treyarch may be hiding in future updates.
Due to the H.A.R.P being a recreation of a previous scorestreak, many players are now theorizing at what missing items could make an appearance. There have been tons of Call of Duty scorestreaks that have appeared and disappeared over the years. To see them added in as seasonal content brings the battle pass and seasonal rotation to a new level that Modern Warfare fans have not seen before.
This scorestreak appears alongside the Call of Duty: Warzone map Rebirth and several new guns and operators. With Gunfight returning, additional maps, and new game modes across all titles, players in all three games are looking forward to the fresh updates in Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War season one’s content.
Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War is available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
