Now that Cyberpunk 2077 has finally come out after all these years for gamers to enjoy, fans are noticing just how much there is to experience in NightCity. Among many of Cyberpunk 2077‘s hidden details, players have come across a new NPC that has an incredible talent for playing the guitar.
During the “Beat on the Brat” Cyberpunk 2077 mission, gamers have to face off against a pair of twins in Kabuki as part of an underground wrestling ring ordered by Coach Fred. During this part of the quest, there is an NPC that is relaxing on a couch, jamming out on an electric guitar. Players have not only noticed how beautiful the guitar playing sounds in Cyberpunk 2077 but also how incredibly accurate it is.
Amidst all the insane visual glitches in Cyberpunk 2077, this one caught players by surprise because the NPC animation is literally playing the guitar. It seems CD Projekt Red took special care in the animation to make sure it is authentic, which is typically unusual for such a small detail from a major gaming studio.
The NPC was first originally pointed out in a post on the Cyberpunk 2077 Reddit two days ago by a user named axiom99. The user shared a video of the NPC playing guitar and complimenting how not only do the notes sound really good, but the animation of the picking hand syncs up to the music perfectly. Axiom99 goes onto say that as a guitar player, they have never experienced animation of playing that clean in a videogame, and it makes them happy that CD Projekt Red took the time to perfect that aspect.
Many users have also taken to the comments to compliment the NPC, saying how they stayed through his whole performance and even tried to find ways to tip him. This is currently the highest-rated post on the Cyberpunk 2077 sub-Reddit with nearly 45 thousand upvotes, which is impressive considering most of the posts now are complaints towards CD Projekt Red for the game’s many issues.
CD Projekt Red, in particular, has been known to put hidden details in games, such as their previous success with The Witcher 3. It is nice knowing they put the same attempt into Cyberpunk 2077. Hopefully, now the studio will follow up by fixing the other countless bugs that have been plaguing this game for some time now. It is nice when studios don’t overlook things like this and show appreciation for mini details at the end of the day.
Cyberpunk 2077 is available now on PC, PS4, Stadia, and Xbox One, and will come to PS5 and Xbox Series X in 2021.
