While all eyes may be on the upcoming Harry Potter RPG, there’s still plenty of content still be being released for Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery as well. The latest event for Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery is actually set to kick off later this week, with developer Jam City planning an eight day celebration to countdown to Christmas, with events taking place in-game as well as on social media.
From December 18 to December 25, Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery players can enjoy the Christmas Countdown event. This will include giveaways on Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery‘s social media accounts, including plenty of prizes players can earn in-game. The Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery Christmas Countdown in-game prizes include sweaters, decor, coins, and energy, all of which will come in handy for the other special events going on during the week.
Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery players can put their energy to good use by participating in Quidditch, House Pride, and Dueling events that will take place during the Christmas Countdown. Whether or not these events have special prizes attached to them as well has yet to be revealed, but fans of the game will find out once the event goes live on December 18.
Meanwhile, those wanting some more substantial content can jump into a brand new limited-time side quest that will also be going live during Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery‘s Christmas Countdown event. This side quest will be limited to players who have managed to reach at least Year 3 Chapter 4. During the event, Charlie Weasley winds up injuring himself and needs the player character to help him out with repaying a debt of some kind.
Besides Charlie, players will also get to interact with characters like Professor Snape and Hagrid. This is on top of all the usual content fans can expect from the interactive novel/RPG.
The Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery Christmas Countdown event will be available from December 18 to December 25.
