XSEED Games, a publishing brand of Marvelous USA, Inc., has spent the last 12 months releasing new critically-acclaimed titles and bringing back old fan-favorite franchises. The company is celebrating its most successful year to date by recapping its achievements throughout the year.
While there were some bumps in the road, such as localization delays for Rune Factory 4, XSEED Games kept publishing titles. During 2020 alone, XSEED Games released 11 games, including Sakuna: Of Rice and Ruin, and the North American release of Granblue Fantasy: Versus. Global sales for Sakuna: Of Rice and Ruin topped 500,000 and GranBlue Fantasy: Versus topped 450,000, with another success in the form of STORY OF SEASONS: Friends of Mineral Town selling over 200,000 copies on Nintendo Switch.
XSEED Games President Ken Berry stated, “This was an incredible year for us and represents one of the more diverse lineups of games we’ve had. We want to thank our fans for all their support and we look forward to a new year, and new surprises.” With games ranging from farming sims to RPGs and action games, it also marked a year with a diverse release of games across genres. Whether players wanted to be a simple farmer or a mech pilot, players had an option to choose from with XSEED Games releases this year.
