Call of Duty: Warzone Leaks Soap Operator Bundle | Game Rant

Some Call of Duty fans were disappointed when they found out that fan-favorite character John “Soap” MacTavish was absent from the 2019 reboot of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. The good news is it looks like he may be making his way to Call of Duty: Warzone soon.

Call of Duty introduced players to Sgt. “Soap” MacTavish in Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare. The newest member of Capt. Price’s squad of British SAS commandos, he was one of the main characters of the original Modern Warfare trilogy. Activision teased his return during the 2019 reboot, although he never appeared in-game. However, a recent leak indicates he may soon be playable thanks to the Soap Operator Bundle.

Soap has been mostly absent from the Call of Duty series since Modern Warfare 3 in 2011. He received a brief mention in the Modern Warfare reboot but has yet to appear on screen. He’s popped up in DLC packs and spinoffs like Call of Duty: Mobile, but it’s been nearly a decade since Soap played a vital role in the main series. His likely addition as a playable operator in Warzone is expected to get the attention of series fans.

The bundle will likely be part of the Season One Battle Pass for Call of Duty: Back Ops Cold War and Warzone. According to the leak, it will cost 2,400 COD points and include new skins, three new weapons, a new charm, a finishing move, a calling card, an emblem, and a spray. It will also feature a new operator mission that unlocks two alternate skins. It’s too early to guess at specifics, but it looks like Soap is gearing up for some alpine combat.

If the leak is credible, the Soap Operator Bundle will be the latest addition to the Call of Duty: Warzone battle royale mode. Players can access Warzone through Modern Warfare and Black Ops Cold War, and it features weapons characters from both. It is also available as a stand-alone free-to-play battle royale.

Hopefully, fans will be pleased to get back in control of everyone’s favorite mohawked Scotsman. His presence in spinoffs and add-on’s is nothing new, but if confirmed, his inclusion in Call of Duty: Warzone’s shared world might be a sign of something bigger. If he also returns to Modern Warfare, it could indicate that Activision has something big in mind for the future. For now, though, Call of Duty players will have to be content with the possibility of Soap’s Warzone comeback.

Call of Duty: Warzone is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
