Genshin Impact: Where to Farm Starsilver | Game Rant

One new ore introduced in Genshin Impact‘s Version 1.2 update is Starsilver, which can be used to craft new weapons at the blacksmith. Though there are many locations in Genshin Impact to farm Starsilver, here are the most condensed locations and quickest routes.

Starsilver is a new resource in Genshin Impact that was brought by the Version 1.2 update, along with Crimson Agate, which can be offered to the Frostbearing Tree in exchange for rewards. When exploring the new area Dragonspine, travelers will get a quest called Festering Fang and, after finding 3 Strange Teeth, they will be tasked with finding 50 Starsilver. This might seem like a lot, but by following a specific path, the ore can be collected quickly.

Because Starsilver is a rare ore, it takes a while to respawn. Similar to Crystal Chunks, it takes 48 hours to respawn but luckily, there are well over 50 deposits located around Dragonspine. The fastest way to gather a large amount of Starsilver is to travel along the edges of Dragonspine. Specifically, the top half edges of Dragonspine have several nodes that are highly concentrated with Starsilver deposits. Some deposits will even drop 3-4 Starsilver each.

By traveling along the outer edges and beaches of Dragonspine, players should be able to collect a large amount of Starsilver quickly. To speed up the process, it’s important to equip a character that uses a claymore as a weapon, such as Diluc, Noelle, or Razor.

After collecting enough Starsilver, travelers can visit the blacksmith to craft new Dragonspine weapons introduced to Genshin Impactwith the 1.2 update, as well as the Warming Bottle. While the Warming Bottle only requires 2 Starsilver to craft, the weapons each require 50 Starsilver to make, so farming the resource is important for travelers who want these rare weapons.

One of the weapons in the Dragonspine Spear, which also requires 8 Festering Teeth to make as well as completing the Festering Fang world quest to get the blueprint for the spear. With it, normal and charged attacks have a 60% chance of dropping an icicle above them, and opponents affected by Cryo are dealt 200% Attack DMG. Because there are no polearm Cyro characters in Genshin Impact yet, the Dragonspine Spear would be useful equipping it to a character with high Elemental Mastery and frequently switching between a Cyro character in battle.

The other Dragonspine weapon that requires 50 Starsilver is the Snow-Tombed Starsilver claymore, which also needs 50 Crystal Chunks. This claymore operates similarly to the Dragonspine Spear in terms of its stats, so equipping it to a DPS Chongyun would maximize its abilities.

Genshin Impact is available now on Mobile, PC, and PS4, and is currently in development for PS5 and Switch.
