Mr Beast Giving Away A Lot of Money for Christmas | Game Rant

YouTuber Mr Beast is known for giving away massive amounts of money and gifts, so for the holidays, Mr Beast has launched a giveaway on Twitter that has received almost record-breaking attention. Mr Beast tweeted to his 8.6 million Twitter followers offering $10,000 to five people who retweet, and the number of retweets since being posted yesterday is very surprising.

The tweet now has 1 million retweets at the time of writing, making it the 25th most-shared post on Twitter in history. Mr Beast also claims the 19th spot with his 2019 birthday tweet that offered $10,000 to only one person. Since Mr Beast posted the tweet only yesterday, it is possible the post moves up several spots and has a chance to become the most retweeted post, which is currently held by Japanese billionaire Yusaku Maezawa with 4.3 million retweets.

While Mr Beast may break the retweet record, the post is much more about helping people during the holiday time. Christmas may have been slightly different for families due to COVID-19 restrictions and lockdowns, and $10,000 can benefit anybody during the hectic holiday month. Aside from the Twitter giveaway, Mr Beast has made substantial philanthropic contributions such as opening a restaurant chain that is giving away free meals, and several other giveaways including giving $1,000,000 to random people in a recent YouTube video.

Mr Beast rose to fame with entertaining YouTube videos featuring insane challenges and insane giveaways. Mr Beast also recently launched a new channel named “Mr Beast Gaming” where the YouTube streamer often plays games like Minecraft and Among Us, and often gives away prizes to those he plays with.

Recently, Mr Beast also held a huge challenge in which he invited 100 random players to create the best farm in Minecraft with a grand prize of $50,000. Many of Mr Beast’s videos are very entertaining, and the reactions from winners or those given money can be very heartwarming.

Many other streamers have gotten into the spirit of giving as well. Twitch streamer Broxh, who is known for wood-carving on stream, gifted subscriptions to his channel and removed the donate button during the holidays to ensure that people hold onto their money and help those less fortunate. United States politician Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez has also recently used the Twitch platform to raise over $200,000 for charity during an Among Us stream. It is the season of giving and many streamers are using their platform to spread holiday cheer and help those in need.
