Twitch streamer Forsen is back. After Sebastian “Forsen” Fors was banned from the streaming platform a month ago back in November, it looks he will be returning, something fans should be rather excited about.
In what is a nice holiday gift the day after Christmas, Forsen tweeted today that he has been unbanned and that he will be returning to stream tomorrow (December 27) at 7 PM CET. What game he will be playing is not yet known, but Forsen is big on PUBG and Hearthstone, though he plays a wide variety of titles.
His return to Twitch after being banned will assuredly be a triumphant one, both for him and his fans. It will likely feel odd for him, having been kicked off the platform for a time. But after spending so many hours on the platform, it will also likely feel natural in no time again. Forsen has 1.4 million followers on Twitch. Those followers are probably very excited to see him come back, and in fact, his tweet making his announcement of his return already has almost 17 thousand likes.
For Sebastian, the last couple of years have been a roller coaster. Last year Forsen revealed that Mixer offered him a deal to leave Twitch and join Mixer instead. Of course, he turned that offer down and Mixer ended up shutting down, but then Forsen was banned from Twitch almost a year later.
The reason for the initial ban is still not entirely known, but it likely has to do with copyright claims. Twitch users will likely need to start lawyering up to avoid DMCA claims. Forsen could have been banned for music from a game, from something in the background of a stream, or something else entirely. Speculation is a bit dangerous, but with so many people being banned for this reason over the past few months, it is easy to assume that something like this is the reason. Regardless, it is nice that he is back.
Hopefully, as bans are lifted for any streamer, they are a bit more careful. This could be difficult, however, as the world catches on to the world of streaming and content creation. The little site that was once called Justin.tv (Twitch) is now one that is used worldwide and has sped up at a rate that is somewhat shocking, perhaps surprising to corporations and government agencies. Thus, stronger enforcement of existing rules have been implemented and new copyright laws are being put in place.
