Call of Duty: Warzone Pro FaZe Swagg Reveals Gun He Thinks is Better Than DMR

Call of Duty: Warzone players are still figuring out the new meta now that Black Ops Cold War weapons have been added to the battle royale. The arrival of so many new weapons means that players are constantly trying out new loadouts and combinations. While most of the Call of Duty: Warzone lobbies are currently full of DMR 14 users, professional player FaZe Swagg thinks he has a loadout that is even better.

The DMR 14 is the current king of Call of Duty: Warzone. Only a few times in the battle royale’s life has one single weapon dominated the competition the way that the tactical rifle is currently doing. This gun can down an enemy in three shots from a long range, making it nearly unbeatable in most fights. While this is leading to many players trying their hand at the weapon and causing it to become even more overused, Swagg has built a loadout for the Type 63 tactical rifle that appears to be even stronger than the DMR 14.

The Type 63 is the first tactical rifle that Black Ops Cold War players unlock. While many players move on from this initial weapon to the AUG or DMR 14, there seems to be several key points that allow the Type 63 to excel despite being the class’s starter gun. First, the fire rate and single-shot style means that players can accurately shoot as fast as their trigger fingers allow. In addition, there are many attachments that slot into this gun that give it more accuracy and allow players to simply point and click to take down most enemies.

  • Muzzle: GRU Silencer
  • Barrel: 16.4 Rapid Fire
  • Underbarrel: Spetsnaz Ergonomic Grip
  • Ammunition: 38 Rnd Speed Mag
  • Optic: Axial Arms 3x

The GRU Silencer and 16.4 Rapid Fire attachments allow the Type 63 to shoot fast and quietly, taking down Warzone enemies before they can heal. Since this gun shoots one bullet per trigger pull, the increased rate of fire gives it nearly unnoticeable time between shots. This allows players to almost spray enemies without being detected due to the silencer.

The Spetznaz Ergonomic Grip gives the player enough reduced recoil to take multiple shots with precision. This combines well with the silencer to cut down on the recoil and allow the 16.4 Rapid Fire attachment to take down Call of Duty players with lightning speed. The addition of the 38 Rnd Speed Mag means players can shoot for longer with barely noticeable time between shots or reloads.

The final attachment for this loadout is ultimately player preference. The large map in Call of Duty: Warzone means that long range is constantly a factor in most gunfights and the Axial Arms 3x makes it even easier to challenge enemies across longer distance. Players can easily swap this optic to a closer ranged style if they plan on sticking to indoors and tight quarters.

While the damage is lower than the DMR 14, the precision and speed of the Type 63 gives it a slight edge. If the player has the precision and firing speed necessary for this gun to excel, it will do exactly that. The Black Ops Cold War integration is still fairly new, so there is plenty of time for other metas to rise to the surface and dominate the battle royale. Players just need to be flexible and keep trying new loadouts to find the one that best fits their playstyle.

Call of Duty: Warzone is available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
