Since Cyberpunk 2077‘s vehicle selection is as diverse as Night City itself, players might be hesitant to invest large sums of Cyberpunk 2077’s eurodollars into any one hypercar, sports car, or motorcycle on offer by the city’s many fixers.
Even though there are free options, the vehicles that become available to V as they gain street cred become more and more enticing thanks to exotic looks and more powerful engines – in spite of their increasingly steep price tags.
The Quadra Type-66 Javelina appeals to players because of its unique all-terrain appearance, top speeds of 189 mph, and crystal dome-style windscreen. The vehicle is offered to V after they reach 30 street cred and roam the Badlands district. The Javelina can then be purchased for €$73,000 in the Badlands southwest of Night City. The car sits in an opening in the Biotechnica Flats right across the street from the Protein Farm fast travel location.
As the second-fastest car in the sports class of vehicles, the Quadra Type-66 Javelina is an appealing purchase. At 30 street cred, players are likely about halfway through their leveling through the game. For players in this mid-game tier of play, a car like the Javelina would quench the need for a fast and unique vehicle at a reasonable price. The top three fastest cars – the Rayfield Caliburn, Mizutani Shion Coyote, and Rayfield Aerondight S9 Guinevere – all cost between €$115-225k, a good deal more than the Javelina. While the Coyote can be acquired after reaching 20 street cred, the Caliburn and Guinevere require 40 and 50 street cred, respectively.
If players aren’t satisfied with the Badlands design of the Javelina and don’t want to wait for the requisite street cred or eddies for Cyberpunk 2077‘s three fastest vehicles, they might opt instead for the Akira-inspired Yaiba Kusanagi CT-3X motorcycle, which reaches the same top speed as the Javelina at a fraction of the price. Players still keen on the Quadra Type-66 vehicle model–but not the Javelina specifically–can look for the Type-66 Avenger and Type-66 Cthulhu for similarly priced options. Alternatively, the Herrera Outlaw GTS hypercar and Mizutani Shion MZ2 are also in similar price and performance ranges with entirely different designs from the Type-66 model.
Ultimately, the Quadra Type-66 Javelina is the fastest mid-tier car available in Cyberpunk 2077. It won’t compare to the luxury of the €$225k Guinevere or the 211 mph top speed of the Caliburn, but it will get V to gigs in the heart of Night City and the most remote crags of the Badlands with style and performance in equal measure.
