Call of Duty: Warzone has seen the rise of a new meta due to the introduction of Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War’s weaponry, and many players are taking issue with the prevalence of certain weapons. One Call Of Duty: Warzone fan that has had enough of the same guns is none other than Dr Disrespect, with The Two Time recently calling for change.
After being killed by the powerful MAC-10 SMG several times during a stream, Dr Disrespect shared how he truly felt about the new Call of Duty: Warzone meta. With several players using the fast-firing and deadly accurate SMG, Dr Disrespect is not alone in thinking that the current “gunfights are just so pathetic.” Adding that the MAC-10 meta is “f-ing boring,” the Doc’s feelings could not be clearer on the game’s new must-use SMG.
Dr. Disrespect’s comments echo those of professional Call of Duty player NICKMERCS. Recently, the FaZe member called out Call of Duty: Warzone’s meta problem, highlighting that the DMR and MAC-10 are the only weapons that are viable in the battle royale game. With so many guns existing within Call of Duty: Warzone, it is easy to understand why content creators are so upset with seeing the same two weapons. Not only is it less fun to play out one scenario on repeat, but it leads to less interesting videos and streams to watch as well.
Unfortunately, Call of Duty: Warzone metas have a habit of overstaying their welcome, meaning that players may deal with the MAC-1-0 and DMR’s dominance for awhile. As such, it is hard to blame players for taking an “if you can’t beat them, join them” approach, equipping the best DMR loadouts so that they can put up a fight in the free-to-play game. While this only furthers the problem and proves Dr Disrespect right, it is likely to continue until the developers make changes.
After his stream, Dr Disrespect took to Twitter, expanding on his comments regarding Call of Duty: Warzone’s current problems. Saying that the game needs a “content overhaul” and claiming he would “rather watch drone racing on ESPN 9,” Dr Disrespect was met with many replies that showed fans agreeing with his take on the matter. Viewing the MAC-10/DMR meta as the “worst Warzone meta to date,” the famous gamer is making his voice heard via a demand for change.
With Raven hard at work on fixing Call of Duty: Warzone’s stim glitch yet again, as well as returning the attack helicopter to the game, weapon balancing may come slower than ever. Sadly, those upset about the MAC-10 and DMR being overpowered will just have to wait patiently for a nerf to come.
