Epic Games Store Free Game for December 29 Confirmed, Final Two Games Leaked

There are three days left in 2020, which means three more free games that Epic Games Store users can claim for their collection. The Epic Games Store free game for December 29 is available now to claim until December 30 at 8:00am PT, and as expected, it’s Solitairica.

Out of all the Epic Games Store free games for December 2020, Solitairica may very well be one of the most obscure. For those who aren’t familiar with the game, it essentially combines classic Solitaire card gameplay with RPG and roguelike elements. It’s an interesting mash-up that has been generally well-received by gamers, as reflected by Solitairica‘s relatively high user scores on various websites. Anyone interested can check it out for free, as there are no strings attached to the Epic Games Store free games lineup beyond needing the launcher downloaded.

As many may know, the entire list of Epic Games Store free games for December 2020 leaked online not long after the promotion started. Thanks to this leak, many fans already knew well in advance that Solitairica was going to be the free game for December 29. And thanks to that same leak, Epic Games Store users also know the last two games that will be part of the free games lineup.

Unless Epic Games decides to swerve everyone, the free game for December 30 will be Torchlight 2. Like its predecessor, Torchlight 2 is a dungeon-crawling action-RPG in the vein of the Diablo series. It earned relatively positive reviews at the time of its release, with particular praise given to its decision to support co-op play. Despite co-op being such an integral part of Diablo-style games, the original Torchlight didn’t have the option for whatever reason.

And finally, the free game for December 31 is believed to be Jurassic World EvolutionJurassic World Evolution is a simulation game similar to titles like Zoo Tycoon, but with players running their own version of Jurassic Park. The game earned somewhat mixed reviews, but has proven to be a commercial success. Now any Jurassic World fans turned off by the mixed review scores can check it out without spending any money.

While Epic Games Store is winding down its free games promotion, there will be plenty more free games added to the store in the months ahead. Even when it’s not the holiday season, the Epic Games Store has been known to give away free games on a regular basis, and it’s quite likely that will continue.
