Family Who Has Never Owned A Gaming System Gets Xbox Series X for Christmas

Holidays are the time to relax and look back on everything that happened in a specific year. It’s a much-needed time to revitalize one’s body and mind and gaming is one of the best ways to do it. Especially in a year as cumbersome as this, a silver lining is immensely needed and, as it seems, this particular family got exactly that.

Gaming, in general, has been a support factor for many this year, both for newcomers and the old alike. Add to that the launch of next-gen consoles- Xbox Series X, PS5, and the games industry has seen its biggest year yet. Unfortunately, as the demand for these new consoles increased, it also made it incredibly difficult for consumers to get their hands on them. Fortunately, this particular family was determined to get the choice of their gift this holiday season and was successful in doing so.

The parents shared an incredibly emotional video of their kids opening up the Christmas wrappings to find a shiny new Xbox Series X sitting underneath it. This ecstatic little moment, as many would recall experiencing it themselves at some point in their life, brought tears of happiness on their faces. Aside from Xbox Series X, the four kids also got a Nintendo Switch Lite, which offers its own share of quality games.

While getting a video game console as a present can always be an emotionally enthralling moment, the joy of opening one for the very first time is an unprecedented experience. Since gaming can be an expensive hobby to boast, not everyone can afford a console and the wide array of games it offers. It especially affects kids if all their friends have got one and they can’t have it, just yet.

Thankfully for these children, that dream may have come true as now they not only have their very first console, but also the most powerful one. While Xbox Series X does not boast a truly next-gen launch lineup as the PS5, it offers more value through its Game Pass subscription and backward compatibility mode. This is especially important for a family such as this who missed out on the games that define Xbox’s legacy.

With the addition of EA Play, which adds cult classic titles such as Dead Space, Mass Effect, etc, as well as the Bethesda acquisition deal that will finalize in 2021, Xbox owners have a lot to look forward to in the coming years.
