Call of Duty: Warzone Player Gets Sweet Revenge After Teammate Steals Loot

After launching earlier this year, Call of Duty: Warzone has been a massive success for Activision, pulling in record numbers of players as well as being a major generator of revenue through in-store purchases like character skins, weapon camo, and more. It’s also clear that the popular free to play mode isn’t going anywhere, as Warzone just transitioned from Call of Duty: Modern Warfare to the recently released Black Ops Cold War. As popular as it is, players are still coming up inventive solutions to common problems.

One common problem is loot being stolen by teammates, especially for solo players who opt to matchmake with other random teammates. The lack of communication no doubt plays a major role in situations like this and could potentially result in hurt feelings or players feeling angry that an item they found from a treasure chest was completely taken. However, one player in particular has found a clever way of taking revenge on a teammate who didn’t obey the unwritten rules of sportsmanship.

Over on the Call of Duty: Warzone subreddit, user just-here-2-par-t posted a short clip of their strategy to get back at a teammate who didn’t respect the boundaries. After opening a nearby chest to satisfy the scavenger contract, some good loot drops on the ground ready to be picked up. Looking over their options, the player’s teammate comes in and snags the armor satchel before they could pick it up.

Clearly annoyed that the player ran in and took the loot, the player grabs a nearby helicopter to which the teammate jumps in thinking they’re going to head off to the next location. Instead, just-here-2-par-t flies straight into a building, jumping out before the chopper’s impact and explosion but not giving enough time for the teammate to react. The thief of a teammate is downed in the explosion and the fall damage ultimately eliminates them from the match, spilling everything they had on them on the ground. The sweet revenge ends with the player finally getting back the item that was originally stolen from him.

The new Rebirth Island map has also given players a new way to play Warzone, bringing in a brand new map to explore that’s pretty different from the original Verdansk spot. However, the new location hasn’t stopped players from utilizing new methods to get around the island. One player in particular decided to attempt to play a match using a musical keyboard as a controller. In fact, Redditor grooviehoovie used the piano to overcome a major platforming hurdle to reach the special gondola location. A feat not easy with a normal setup, much less one done with a piano.

Call of Duty: Warzone is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
