A few hours into her stream of the popular, competitive platformer, Pikachulita’s partner came from behind her to ask for her hand in marriage.

In what seemed like a joke at first quickly turned into reality as Pikachulita wrapped herself in her partner’s arms in complete disbelief. After a few moments of insisting the moment wasn’t real, her partner erased any inclination of suspicion by showing off the ring before the two enveloped each other in a hug. The stream continued for a few moments more as Pikachulita exclaimed her hair wasn’t done nor was she wearing any pants, but her partner insisted none of that mattered as this was purely just a moment of love for the happy couple. This was a rare wholesome moment on Twitch compared to some of the usual drama like Addison Rae’s Among Us stream.

Quickly after, Pikachulita announced she had to leave so the two could celebrate and the stream ended. After a long year of uncertainty and the US government enacting a bill that could make Twitch streaming a felony, seeing moments like this are exactly what the world needs.

There were plenty of great video game surprises in 2020, and for Pikachulita, this moment was certainly one of them.
