Respawn Entertainment’s Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order is a smashing success. The game follows Cal Kestis, one of the few remaining Jedi who survived the Great Jedi Purge. Cal has to relearn his Jedi training through faint memories, as well as adopt new teachings from the last Jedi in the galaxy.
Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order 2 has the potential to be the franchise’s biggest game yet, only if it learns from the original’s shortcomings. Naturally, expectations are through the roof with Star Wars releases, especially one that’s part of Disney approved canon. Here are some of the ways that a sequel could work.
10 Fast Travel
Fast travel was one needed feature that was missing in Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order. Visiting a planet like Kashyyyk for the second time was a painstaking experience.
Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order falls along the lines of Dark Souls. Dark Souls improved the series significantly by adding fast travel, making its absence in this game more mysterious. Merely enabling players to warp back to the ship would drastically enhance gameplay.
9 The Return Of The Inquisitors
Cal Kestis’s path to becoming a Jedi and stopping the Empire from obtaining a secret list was met with hardships. The Inquisitors follow orders, yet the things they did are despicable. With Cere’s connection to the Dark Side, it was suggested she would make an “excellent Inquisitor.”
Inquisitors are new to movie-watchers but are well-known in the Star Wars expanded universe. Contrasting with Sith Warriors, Sith Inquisitors use the Dark Side of the Force. The rule of two Sith philosophy does not apply to these treacherous foes. However, their lightsaber dueling matches Cal Kestis.
8 Stronger Force Powers
Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order placed players on the path of a Jedi who had to relearn his skills. Cal’s Force powers were weak at the start of the game, yet he relearned Force powers and learned new ones, making him a determined fighter. Fans of the series want to see more Force powers in the sequel. They should be stronger than previous powers seen in the original game., whether they are from the Light or Dark Side of the Force
7 Improved Lightsaber Customization
Lightsaber customization was in-depth, yet players were unable to see the custom parts during gameplay. This one can be tricky since Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order is a third-person game, not first-person. By adding more colors to choose from, Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order can make noticeable improvements. Also, the parts used to upgrade lightsabers should have stat bonuses like in Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic.
6 The Dark Side Of The Force
According to Darth Sidious, “The Dark Side of the Force is a pathway to many abilities some consider to be unnatural.” This quote gives us insight into what the Dark Side of the Force is. The Dark Side contains unbridled power, whereas the Light Side works under constraints. A Dark Side user can use Force Choke and Force Scream, whereas a Light Side user cannot. Star Wars games in the past let you choose to become a Jedi or a Sith. Hopefully, Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order 2 incorporates the Dark Side, unlike we’ve seen before.
5 More Dialogue Options
The most in-depth video games contain fun gameplay and impactful dialogue options that affect a story’s events. Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order is not known for impactful dialogue choices because there are only a few, and they have little influence in the game. This minor feature could be changed to improve gameplay drastically. The game would turn into more of an RPG than an action-adventure, but the story-bending choices would be worth it.
4 A Gripping Story
Arguably, the most important aspect of a video game is its story. A story-driven game like Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order has meaning behind each lightsaber duel and boss fight. If developer Respawn Entertainment continues to write intriguing storylines for its characters, Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order 2 will surpass expectations. Another part of a masterful story is genuine characters like Cal Kestis.
3 4K At A Stable 60 Frames Per Second
With new video game platforms being all the hype these days, we are familiarizing ourselves with unprecedented realism. Games can now play in 4K and 60 frames per second, which is blowing socks off. Unquestionably, a Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order should follow suit with next-gen games. Ray-tracing can also help to elevate gameplay. 4K and 120 frames per second is a long shot in the dark, but it doesn’t hurt to hope.
2 Planets From Star Wars Galactic History
Kashyyyk is one of the only recognizable planets in Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order. Players get to visit planets like Zeffo, Ilum, and Dathomir, but missing is some of Star Wars‘ most memorable locations.
The sequel should introduce new worlds while paying homage to the original movies. Planets like Tatooine, Hoth, and the Sith planet of Korriban need to return. The adage location, location, and location is of the utmost importance in a new Star Wars game.
1 Sith Lords
Missing throughout most of Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order was a reference or appearance of the Empire’s darkest leaders. Cal Kestis is a Force-sensitive being, but he has yet to beat a Sith Lord. To Cal’s defense, he has been hiding his Force powers in secret, leaving them dormant most of his life. Cal is relearning and learning Force Powers to fight the Empire. The next game should reveal Cal’s midi-chlorian count to explain if he can contest against treacherous foes like Sith Lords.
