Assassin’s Creed Valhalla: How To Obtain Petra’s Arc Predator Bow

One of the most unique weapons in the game, many players will be looking for the shortest route through Valhalla to get the best precision bow in the game. However, like many good things in life, there’s a lot more that goes into it than first expected. From battle training for the final challenge to picking what outfit will get you the best results, retrieving the bow becomes a daunting task for those who haven’t decided on a plan of action.

Luckily, it isn’t the most complex path to an item but it does land in one of the more difficult regions in England, making it important to complete other areas before diving headfirst into Suthsexe. Valhalla being an open-world game will tempt some players into the trap of heading directly to the prize, while working for some veteran players, this will surely end in disappointment for unfit challengers.

4 Petra’s Arc Predator Bow

Taking the number 1 spot in the bow category, anyone who likes to play the ranged game will be hunting for this weapon. The bow is often compared to a sniper rifle, giving the player the most precise aim to be found in the game. It also has a handy perk that often comes in handy when players aren’t directly in the thick of battle, increasing the chance for critical hits when health is near full. This combined with its long-range plays into some of the biggest damage possible without giving up the defensive advantage.

While it breezes through most enemies that players regularly meet along the story path, this is one of the rare bows that can be devastating for late-game challenges. Headshots, critical hits, and a high precision rate all add up, creating a sniper rifle experience that’s hard to find in this genre. The speed is also equivalent to the sniper, taking a long time to reload and set up the next shot, meaning players will have to be sure of every shot they take.

3 Building Up The Character

Taking on the challenges to get the bow is no easy task, players that barrel ahead and try to get it before they’re ready will be met with frustration and failure. Taking on a legendary animal isn’t restricted by level or story, making it possible for someone who’s highly under skilled to run headfirst into the fire. However tempting it may be for both bragging rights and getting a great weapon early in the game, taking a weak assassin in isn’t recommended.

Whether it’s playing through more of the story or completing side missions and mysteries, getting advanced skills and some good armor should be priority 1. Luckily, by the time most characters reach this point on the map, regular gameplay with moderate side activity should be good enough. Try and develop some good battle tactics and enough defense to take on multiple enemies at a time, both for getting to the fight and coming out on top.

2 Gear

Depending on the kind of battle players want to fight against the bull, gear will be crucial to taking it down. Finding something mobile enough to stay away from the charging beast, while having enough protection to survive a big hit in case of emergency. Fire and Poison will be a safe bet to quickly wear it down, with ranged weapons being the preferred method for most people.

The final battle isn’t the only thing to worry about, having to get through Suthsexe will also push players into some challenging situations. Getting used to bow mechanics will be helpful in dealing with groups and taking out the Battle Sow and his lackeys. Spear’s for those who like to be in the line of fire is another great tactic, sharpening the dodge mechanic to activate Brush With Death will make the entire experience more manageable.

1 Aelfred’s Battle Cattle

If players have taken out some of the other legendary animals before facing the Sow, this battle shouldn’t be a big jump in difficulty. It’s a powerhouse with a bad temper but it’s easily avoidable for those who can navigate the entire battle area. The first phase will be literally drawing the bull into taking damage, hitting its weak points that appear on the side. This means dancing around because the bull can attack when the player is both in front and behind the beast.

The second phase is when things get interesting as the bull will call on the others to attack at the same time, creating distractions for anyone who tries to take aim. Luckily, focusing on the target and taking down the animal will call the others off and makes the fight much less chaotic to deal with. Dodging to slow down time will give the players some time to focus and deal some heavy damage without worrying about the excess noise.
