Call of Duty Mobile Has A Secret Nerf In Season 13 Affected A Popular Weapon

Recent updates have taken a focus on weapon balancing in Call of Duty Mobile. With Season 13 underway, the game’s community has been experiencing a wide variety of new content alongside several changes. In true developer fashion, several unannounced nerfs have appeared in Call of Duty Mobile only to be discovered by a perceptive content creator.

Unannounced nerfs have grown to be a developer standard among the Call of Duty titles. Despite their efforts, fans still notice when weapons that they have used for weeks suddenly start behaving slightly differently. With dedicated Call of Duty content creators looking into every patch, it is only a matter of time until fans discover what changes were made.

Call of Duty Mobile YouTuber Bobby Plays discovered that several changes had been made to a rather popular weapon in a game update. The ASM10 has been considered one of the best rifles in the game. Players enjoy the ability to kill an enemy in only 3 shots at 20 meters or more. With the manageable recoil, this weapon has made its way into several loadouts with varying attachment profiles. Many players spotted a slight change with the gun’s standard magazine size as it had been reduced from 30 rounds to only 25. When players noticed this slight change to the weapon, Bobby Plays looked deeper into the problem. What he found was much more than just small adjustments to the ASM10, as several other weapons had received secret adjustments not logged in the developer patch notes.

While the changes to the ASM10 are minimal and do not impact the Call of Duty Mobile meta that heavily, it does show where the developers are focusing their attention. Bobby Plays Tweeted out that more nerfs had been discovered as the Chopper’s recoil had been adjusted and the Man-O-War’s ADS time increased.

Upon deep investigation, Bobby Plays found that the DRH was the only 3-shot AR that had not been adjusted by the developers. Call of Duty Mobile has grown over its 13 seasons, so many players are not surprised that the developers are now looking closer at weapon balance before implementing more content into the growing mobile title.

It will be interesting to see what Call of Duty Mobile’s development team does with the game’s Assault Rifles. As further nerfs are no doubt incoming, the Call of Duty Mobile community stands vigilant to adjust as needed in their favorite competitive mobile shooter.

Call of Duty Mobile is available on iOS and Android devices.
