14 Year Old Call of Duty: Warzone Player Carries Dad to Duos World Record

Call of Duty: Warzone world record that has stood for 7 months has been broken. 14 year old Bruno “Nistaf” Silva and his father broke the previous record of 76 kills in the Duos category of Call of Duty: Warzone with their own record of 79, though the young Silva put on a standout performance as he racked up 61 kills to his father’s 18.

The Duos playlist was added to Warzone in May of last year after it had been highly requested for some time. Players immediately jumped in to prove their mettle, and in July of 2020 a 76 kill record was achieved by players ItsDerekMay and LIAM. But yesterday Silva had a new record in his sights. He was the definition of deadly silence as he shot his way to 61 kills without so much as uttering more than a few words.

Silva’s poise during his match is admirable, and he seems to know exactly where to find opponents at any given moment. It will be no surprise to Warzone fans that Silva uses every every tool in his arsenal, grabbing knife kills, SUV kills, and kills with akimbo 9mm Parabellum pistols. Even less of surprise will be Silva’s liberal use of the DMR-14, a marksman rifle that has defined the latest Warzone meta and has fans and pro gamers alike calling the game “unplayable.”

Silva manages to deal over 17,000 damage during the course of the match as he shows off some flick shots and snipes from far across the map. He spends the majority of the match on his own, constantly switching cover and buying plenty of killstreaks. According to Silva’s father, Silva honed these skills playing other FPS and battle royale games like PUBG, Apex Legends, and Fortnite. Silva’s personal best kill count before this record-setting performance was 48. It’s safe to say he’s left that number firmly in the dust.

Breaking a record in Warzone isn’t easy, which makes Silva’s performance even more of standout. All potential record submissions must be in video format, with scoreboard images not allowed. Matches played on a lower-level smurf account are disqualified as well to ensure quality opponents, and potential record videos must always include the player level. Of course, the addition of Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War content has made record-breaking easier. Pro player Jordan “HusKerrs” Thomas took advantage of the DMR-14 and Mac-10 weapons (both from Black Ops Cold War) to achieve his latest world record in the Solo vs. Duos category. Though both Silva and Thomas played some stellar matches, plenty of people are unhappy with Black Ops Cold War’s integration into Warzone.

But Silva has a bright future in Call of Duty games ahead of him and should be proud of his world record. His skill is clear even without the DMR, which is supposed to be getting nerfed alongside the Mac-10 in future Warzone updates. His record is the first new Warzone record of 2021, and there will no doubt be more to come.

Call of Duty: Warzone is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
