Cyberpunk 2077‘s launch debacle seems to have no end in sight, but while the game has some glaring issues, not every one of them is deal-breaking. One of the latest revelations is a hilarious glitch that allows players to run at an unprecedented speed, really bringing the “gotta go fast” mantra to the fore.
Sure, since launch, Cyberpunk 2077 has been plagued with a plethora of issues. This has resulted in many moving away from the game, at the very least until CD Projekt Red can issue a few fixes, but it does come with a silver lining: this speed glitch is just one of Cyberpunk 2077‘s most hilarious glitches. It even has the added benefit of being useful.
Similarly, a hilarious new speed glitch has presented itself which Cyberpunk 2077 players are using to travel really fast. As discovered by Reddit user Strikielol, this glitch occurs when players try to use the Maneuvering System Mod cyberware, which allows players to dodge mid-air. However, when this dodge is timed perfectly, it becomes a dash, which allows players to explore the world of Cyberpunk 2077 at lightning fast speed.
To time this correctly, players will have to dash (or dodge forward) the moment before they hit the ground. As it seems, this dash is somehow merged with the jump command, ultimately resulting in this insane speed glitch occurs. As soon as the momentum builds up, players can run faster than the fastest car in Cyberpunk 2077.
Cyberpunk 2077, in its current state, is full of bizarre exploits and glitches, with some of these Cyberpunk glitches being downright creepy. Developer CD Projekt Red has addressed some of the more prominent issues of the game and is currently hard at work in releasing the various patches. Aside from the three hotfixes that the game received on all of its platforms, two big patches are currently planned for January and February respectively. When and how those go remains to be seen, but it won’t likely target harmless, and quite frankly, hilarious glitches like this.
While the quality of life changes are expected in future updates, players should also look forward to the free Cyberpunk 2077 DLC that is planned for early 2021 as well. There’s some rumbling that this DLC may also come in the form of content cut from the main game to make up for its November 10 release date, which is not necessarily a bad thing. After all, this is likely in reference to free DLC packs and not full-blow expansions, though of course, it all remains to be seen.
Cyberpunk 2077 is now available on PC, PS4, Stadia, and Xbox One, with free PS5 and Xbox Series X/S upgrades planned for 2021.
