The Boom Sniper Rifle is a new exotic weapon that was added to Fortnite this past year as part of Chapter 2: Season 5. Many Fortnite players are trying to get their hands on this powerful weapon, but it seems that finding the gun’s specific location isn’t as easy as it sounds. This guide will help players locate the item shop where the gun is sold in Fortnite by a certain NPC.
The Boom Sniper Rifle is an exotic version of the Heavy Sniper Rifle and fires off heavy ammo and a clinger that can deal follow-up destructive damage to enemy players. It can lash out up to 70 damage and has a headshot multiplier of 2.5x. And since this gun is an exotic weapon, it cannot be upgraded or sidegraded.
To find this rare rifle, players will need to drop on a small island on the north edge of the map, just sitting northeast of Stealthy Stronghold. Once players land there, they’ll discover a new location called the Unremarkable Shack. There will be an NPC there named Splode, and if players speak to him, they can purchase several items, one of which is the exotic Boom Sniper Rifle.
The thing is, though, the rifle costs 1,125 Bars, which can take some time to acquire in Fortnite. Bars are used to buy certain items from NPCs around the map and can be obtained by completing bounties, defeating other players, completing quests, and can even be gathered by destroying furniture and busting open some safes.
It’ll certainly take players some time to acquire that many gold Bars in one Fortnite match, but if they’re close to taking the win, using Bars to unlock powerful weapons such as the Boom Sniper Rifle can definitely come in handy and will be worth the price.
And if players end up having more Bars than they know what to do with, they can always go back to Splode and purchase an epic Rocket Launcher for 784 Bars, which is slightly cheaper than the exotic rifle.
Currently, Fortnite’s Season 5 Week 6 challenge requires players to blow up Fishing Holes at Sharky Shell, Sweaty Sands, or Flopper Pond. For fans trying to complete the challenge as fast as possible, this guide will help them out.
