Dragon Ball FighterZ Reveals Super Baby 2 Gameplay | Game Rant

Dragon Ball FighterZ is preparing to release its final two DLC characters in the coming months, bringing the 3-year support for Arc System Works’ fighting game to a close. Bandai Namco has already revealed that these two characters will be Super Baby 2 and Gogeta SSJ4 from Dragon Ball GT, with Super Baby 2 gearing up for release this week. Ahead of his release, Bandai Namco has revealed gameplay showcasing Super Baby 2’s moveset in Dragon Ball FighterZ.

Super Baby 2 is the latest character to join Dragon Ball FighterZ‘s FighterZ Pass 3, the third season pass for the game which has brought Kefla, Goku (Ultra Instinct), and Master Roshi into the roster of 43 Dragon Ball characters (almost a quarter of which are different versions of Goku.) Super Baby 2 is the second ever Dragon Ball GT character to join the roster, following Goku (GT) who joined the game in May 2019, and quickly became a fan favorite character.

Bandai Namco has dropped another episode of The Dragon Ball FighterZ Show, a web series hosted by FighterZ competitive commentators Tyrant and Damascus as well as professional player Apologyman. From the showcase, Super Baby 2 looks to be yet another incredibly powerful character joining the roster. While some of his attacks look slower than other Dragon Ball FighterZ characters, they certainly pack a punch, making him an interesting addition to the roster so late after the game’s release.

Dragon Ball FighterZ‘s FighterZ Pass 3 was initially announced on February 9, 2020 as the last character pass for the game, as Arc System Works is looking to end support for the game heading into 2021 as the developer prepares for the release of Guilty Gear Strive in April, while also supporting its other fighting game titles such as Granblue Fantasy: Versus and the newly announced Dungeon & Fighter Duel. It remains to be seen if Arc System Works will partner up with Shonen Jump again in the future to produce a sequel to Dragon Ball FighterZ or adapt another popular manga series such as One Piece, Naruto, or My Hero Academia.

Dragon Ball FighterZ first released in January 2018 for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One, with a Nintendo Switch version following later the same year. The game has been regarded as one of the best fighting games of the generation, matching the striking visuals of Arc System Works’ Guilty Gear series with the complex but approachable fighting game design that the studio is known for, along with tons of fan-service spanning all of the Dragon Ball series, including non-canon entries such as the films and Dragon Ball GT.

Dragon Ball FighterZ is available on PC, PlayStation 4, Switch, and Xbox One.
