There is still no release date for the Cloning Labs that were originally supposed to launch alongside (or before) Kate Bishop, but weekly tasks and rewards continue in Marvel’s Avengers. The game is supposed to have some big new content additions throughout early 2021, but for now, players are continuing on through the usual weekly grind.
This week follows in the same pattern as usual and brings two Priority Missions, two HARM Challenges, and a Mega Hive for experienced endgame players. Each challenge has a reward and players who are still grinding some heroes toward that max power level can make good use of what is up for grabs in this week’s Marvel’s Avengers challenges.
Marvel’s Avengers weekly grind is a reliable source of content that helps players know what to expect from week to week until bigger events (hopefully) someday arrive in the game. The Priority Missions offer motivation to revisit story missions and snag some extra rewards and the HARM challenges take players into the training simulation for a series of difficult challenges to snag a comic book reward (and its associated bonus). Keep in mind that each player can only earn each of the rewards with their first run through per week.

The Mega Hive is a single-player chain of eight missions that tests your team’s might. Each week, you’ll have a shot at completing the Mega Hive mission chain. When you defeat all eight missions, the Mega Hive mission chain is removed from the War Table until the next weekly refresh, when you can run it again with new modifiers.
This week’s modifiers include:
Pressure: No automatic recovery of Willpower when critically injured
Maelstrom: All heroics charge at a significantly increased rate. Entering critical health drains all Heroic energy
Oasis: Regen Packs have increased Willpower benefit
Goliath: Significantly increased presence of Exos
Weekly Rewards: As you progress through the Mega Hive, rewards start as basic gear, resources, and small amounts of cosmetic currency. The more missions you survive, the resource drops increase. As you near the final mission, you’ll see better gear and artifacts awarded more often, and increased chances for patterns/nameplates. When you complete all eight Mega Hive missions, you’ll be rewarded with exclusive goodies reserved for this gauntlet, including a significant amount of high-quality resources.
Right now, that should be everything players need to know to get through this week’s Priority Missions, HARM challenges, and Mega Hive.
Some endgame players are likely more focused on Tachyon Rifts at this point as they wait for the Cloning Labs to arrive, but the HARM challenges are a nice warm-up for any player to work through once per week as long as new or rare comics are up for grabs as a reward.
Marvel’s Avengers is out now on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One, with PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X versions currently in development.
