Red Dead Redemption 2 Player Shows How to do Bridge Glitch to Visit Hidden Locations

The open-world of Red Dead Redemption 2 is massive and like most open-world games, it’s full of secrets which are still being discovered. However not every secret is intentional and RDR 2 has a ton that can only be discovered via the game’s many hilarious glitches. The one that was found recently is a bridge glitch in Red Dead Online that sends players flying all across the map.

Interestingly, a YouTuber named Syckamore has exploited this glitch to travel to some of the most interesting locations in Red Dead Redemption 2, which are otherwise not accessible. One of these locations is Guarma, the tropical island east of Cuba that players visit in the fifth chapter of the game’s main story. Guarma can’t be visited once the story missions in that area are finished and the bridge glitch provides players an opportunity to revisit this tropical paradise.

The bridge can be found near Pikes Basin in Hennigan’s Stead, New Austin. For this to work, players will have to activate some Red Dead Redemption 2 cheats which are Infinite Ammo, Spawn War Horse, Clear All Bounties, and Fortify All Bars. Players will have to use any of the throwable weapons, such as the knife, to hit the third or fourth plank of the bridge to bug it. Once it’s bugged, players who try to cross the bridge will be plunged straight into the sky and will land on either of the three locations: New Austin, Mexico, or Guarma.

Landing in Mexico will, unfortunately, kill the players, and landing in Guarma will not let them escape the place. The key to open up all Red Dead Redemption’s map is to fall northeast of New Austin. Once this happens, players will be able to explore all the hidden locations. To get to Mexico, players will have to travel northwest of New Austin and cross the San Luis River. Traversing ahead of this area is tricky as there are obstacles that could downright kill players, but once they are able to bypass those, players will stumble upon two familiar places from the first game.

Getting to Guarma from here is relatively easy. From Mexico, players will have to continue to travel Southeast of San Luis River, and soon they will come across mossy grounds. Proceeding further will take players to the familiar Cuba lands, however, once they are here, they can’t go back. Getting to Canada is less restrictive and simple as players will have to march on North. Once they are past the state of West Elizabeth, they will notice low poly textures and bizarre smoke puffing trees. Crossing those will take players to the snow-capped mountains of Canada.

Issues like these, while fun to explore, indicates that Red Dead Redemption 2 is far from a perfect game. Unlike Grand Theft Auto Online, the online mode of Red Dead Redemption 2 has been a turbulent affair with relatively less post launch DLC’s. With Red Dead Online getting a standalone release, it’s likely that Rockstar Games is hard at work fixing the game’s multitude of issues while also adding new meaningful content.

Red Dead Redemption 2 is now available on PC, PS4, Stadia, and Xbox One.
