The gaming peripherals market is a tough avenue to play around in. With other companies such as Razer capitalizing on video-game inspired peripherals, competing brands have to step up in order to get noticed by consumers. That is what Mad Catz is doing by recently unveiling the BAT 6+ Gaming Mouse, the latest product in its gaming line.
Announcing its bankruptcy in 2017 and then making a comeback in 2018, Mad Catz has set its focus on producing quality products and has since launched several competitive items into the market. These products include popular video game must-haves for every player such as headsets, keyboards, mouse pads, and of course, gaming mice. This 2021, the BAT 6+ Gaming Mouse is already the second in the company’s announcements of new gaming products.
Inspired by spaceships, hypercars, and the Gotham Knight’s batmobile, the BAT 6+ Gaming Mouse seems to offer players an edge in gaming and also the best in comfort while playing. One of its most interesting features is its unique chassis with a flexible ambidextrous design. This is a great consideration for all the left-handed FPS players who are commonly alienated by bigger brands due to singular gaming mouse designs.
The Mad Catz BAT 6+ Gaming Mouse also looks to make each gamer’s experience a very personal one. The mouse comes with easily swappable backplates and side skirts of different sizes. So, for players who have different ways of holding their gaming mice, whether using the grip, claw, or fighter-tip method, the BAT 6+ Gaming Mouse offers an adaptability that is not commonly found in the gaming peripherals market today.
Beyond its aesthetics, the BAT 6+ Gaming Mouse also provides Mad Catz’s own take on high-performance hardware and software. It is equipped with the Mad Catz DAKOTA™ mechanical switch, which enables the mouse to have a 2ms response time. The Pixart PMW 3389 optical sensor gives the mouse a 16K DPI for pinpoint accuracy. And, the BAT 6+ Gaming Mouse is also the first to house the Mad Catz Cyborg Engine, the brand’s own software that combines player game settings with control over the mouse’s lighting effects. With all these features, Mad Catz has really given its consumers a worthy option to consider when purchasing a new gaming mouse.
Sharing the same release date as the RAT DWS Wireless Gaming Mouse, the Mad Catz BAT 6+ Gaming Mouse will be shipping out in February 2021. The company has yet to confirm any price details and has only stated that pricing will change depending on the buyer’s area. Given the varying price range across its product lines, it will be hard for consumers to predict the final price of the gaming mouse.
