There are a total of 15 Gun for Hire gigs in Cyberpunk 2077 and Eye for an Eye is one of them. Players can find this gig in The Glen part of the Heywood district. The nearest fast travel point is Palms View Way.
Like most gigs, Eye for an Eye is simple. Infiltrate a building, make your way past dozens of enemies and either annihilate or leave your target unharmed. On reaching there, players will notice two ways inside the building. The simplest way to go inside is the front gate, although it’s being guarded by an enemy. Netrunner players can easily use a quickhack to distract the guard by hacking the generator on the side and then sneak inside.
The ground floor has a total of five enemies. Three of them are in the first room, and the other two in the room with the staircase. Sneaking past the enemies in the first room could be difficult since there’s one standing right by the next door. Once this room is clear, players can easily sneak into the next and either take out the other two or sneak up to the staircase. Upon reaching the first floor, players will notice a locked door on the right. Players who leveled up their Athletics skills and have Body 9 can force upon the door to find the Epic Two-Handed Club: Baseball Bat and 2940 EuroDollars.
The second way to enter the building is through the back door that requires 14 Technical Ability. Players entering via this door can sneak up straight ahead to the staircase on the left without engaging any enemy. Tucker is on the second floor of the building, however, there’s another guard that could be either inside Tucker’s room or standing at the doorway. Taking him out while he’s at the doorway is easy and won’t alert Tucker, however, if players annihilate this guard inside Tucker’s room, they would miss out on having an optional conversation with her.
Like most gigs in Cyberpunk 2077, if players sneaked into the target’s room without alerting her beforehand, they would be given an alternative choice to spare her life and loot the nearby safe that contains an Epic Border Guard Multilayer Aramid Vest and 2057 EuroDollars. However, if players spare Tucker, they won’t be rewarded by Padre. The perfect way to earn both Tucker’s bribe and Padre’s reward is to kill her after she gives access to her safe. Either way, players will have to exit the building to finish the gig. If players decided to kill Tucker, they would get a call from Pedro and 7120 EuroDollars.
An Eye for an Eye gig is fairly easy to pull off, like most gigs in Cyberpunk 2077. However, it has been impossible for many players to complete this, thanks to another one of those Cyberpunk 2077 game-breaking bugs. What’s more, is that it’s preventing these players from unlocking the trophy/achievement called “It’s Elementary.” While some reported over at CD Projekt Red forum that Tucker is not available in her room, others complained about the gig not even starting while they circled around the building waiting to get a call from the fixer.
CD Projekt Red recently laid out a roadmap for Cyberpunk 2077 which listed out the release window of upcoming patches, free DLC’s and free next-gen upgrades. As is evident, CDPR is hard at work fixing the plethora of issues that Cyberpunk 2077 has experienced so far since it’s launch. The first of the January patch that’s coming next week should further optimize the game especially on the base PS4 and Xbox One.
Cyberpunk 2077 is now available on PC, PS4, Stadia, and Xbox One, with a free next-gen PS5 and Xbox Series X/S upgrade coming in 2021.
