The Early Access release of Mount and Blade 2: Bannerlord remains a steadily popular game on Steam. The medieval combat sim/RPG saw a spike of players over the holiday season, and Twitch streamers started playing the game more, too. Now developer TaleWorlds Entertainment is trying to keep that energy going. A new patch, e1.5.6, was released for Mount and Blade 2: Bannerlord last Tuesday.
Dozens of changes, fixes, and new additions have been released for Mount and Blade 2: Bannerlord as part of patch e.1.5.6, for both single-player and multiplayer. For example, in the beta version of Mount and Blade 2: Bannerlord, 14 new villages and 26 new battle terrains have been added to the game. Additionally, new armor including the Highland Scale Over Mail Armor and the Sturgia Light Armor have been released.
Other big additions include the release of photo mode for single-player, new weapon knockdown and arrow deflection mechanics, and a major new feature called Rebellions. Rebellions will allow towns where loyalty drops significantly to build up militias that grow into full rebellion clans which will work to establish their own kingdom.
Needless to say, TaleWorlds Entertainment continues to build on the promise of Mount and Blade 2: Bannerlord as the game’s development continues in Early Access. Big changes continue to roll out both in the live version of the Early Access game, as well as its beta. As part of the beta e1.5.7 patch, Mount and Blade 2: Bannerlord will be getting a Child Education feature allowing clans to educate their children in stages as they grow older. There’s a lot of plans left to come to fruition in Mount and Blade 2.
Mount and Blade 2: Bannerlord is available in Early Access now on PC.
