Pokemon GO trainers are currently busy racing around and taking advantage of the bonuses, increased spawns, and special Battle Raid bosses that are a part of the Sinnoh Celebration week event, but the next festivity is already right around the corner. As the countdown to Pokemon GO Tour: Kanto continues, players will revisit the Hoenn region starting next Tuesday.
The Hoenn Celebration event in Pokemon GO is going to be very similar to what players have already seen in the Unova and Sinnoh Celebrations. The event will bring increased spawns from the Hoenn region, along with Hoenn Battle Raid bosses and Egg hatches to help trainers fill in any remaining open spots in their Hoenn dex.
Although players should still be concentrating on battling Heatran or finishing their Sinnoh Collection Challenge, it’s never too early to take a look into the near future and start planning ahead. With that in mind, here is everything players need to know to get started on the Hoenn Celebration when January 19 arrives…
Tuesday, January 19, 2021, at 10:00 a.m. local time through Sunday, January 24, 2021, at 8:00 p.m. local time
Treecko, Torchic, Mudkip, Taillow, Loudred, Nosepass, Aron, Meditite, Roselia, Carvanha, Numel, Baltoy, and more will be appearing more frequently in the wild. If you’re lucky, you might encounter a Shiny Aron!
The following Pokémon will be hatching from 5 km Eggs: Skitty, Aron, Corphish, Lileep, Anorith, Bagon, and Beldum.
Enjoy event-exclusive Field Research tasks that reward Stardust and lead to encounters with Pokémon such as Treecko, Torchic, Mudkip, Aron, Plusle, Minun, and Wailmer.

There are some pretty powerful Pokemon up for grabs in those lists, so this is likely going to be another very popular event, even with players who already have these Pokedex entries populated. Having an extra copy of a metarelevant Pokemon is never a bad thing.
That should be just about everything players need to know to get started when the Hoenn Celebration event kicks off next week, but keep in mind that more details may arrive in the coming days. There is going to be a third Collection Challenge, so start preparing a strategy for catching those Hoenn region Pokemon as well, in order to unlock the item rewards and Elite Collector medal progress.
As trainers continue working through these amazing events and enjoying the new era of the GO Beyond update, they may want to keep hunting down the best Unova Pokemon in the game if improving their Battle Raid rosters and completing their Pokedex is their primary goal. Be sure to check back in the near future for more Pokemon GO strategy guides, news, and updates. Until then, good luck out there, trainers!
Pokemon GO is available on Android and iOS.
