Call Of Duty Warzone: The Best Setup For Players Who Love To Snipe

Thanks to Call of DutyWarzone, fans can test their mettle and prove they’re the best in playing Call of Duty in the game mode’s brutal Battle Royale setup. Moreover, the mode’s Battle Royale twist allows players to combine the ingenuity of Call of Duty‘s loadout system with the fast-paced nature of Battle Royale battles. Interestingly, this loadout system also allows players to mix and match some of their favorite playing styles in the game. Additionally, these unique loadouts let players explore various combat approaches – including the fan-favorite sniper.

Unfortunately, a lot of players might already choose to be snipers in intense Battle Royale matches. In that case, how can players fight both close-quarters enemies and those who prefer to attack from a distance? Interestingly, players who opt to be snipers can play with a recommended setup to secure their best kills.

10 Choose Stability: HDR

Players consider snipers an entire class of fighters, especially since sniper rifles demand a degree of stability from their users. After all, snipers can only use sniper rifles efficiently from a point of focus – vantage points where they can eliminate foes quickly but still precise enough to get their aim straight. Players of Warzone who demand the same stability from their rifles can count on the HDR (Primary) for its stability offerings.

At its core, the HDR offers a slower rate of fire compared to other sniper rifles. In turn, the HDR benefits players who want to aim their shots and favor long-range fights. Given its lower ADS and rate of fire, snipers better use the HDR from afar or they risk getting outmatched when caught.

9 Choose Mobility: AX-50

Snipers who stay in one position will soon find themselves compromised. Unfortunately, the rapidly-decreasing movement window of Warzone means players can’t stick to one position, or else they’ll fall in lethal zones. In turn, mobile snipers who want to keep their aim while on the move might want to use the AX-50 (Primary). Its higher ADS and decent rate of fire allow players to retain their sniping potential despite constantly-changing battle conditions.

In turn, at the hands of a skilled sniper, the ADS of the AX-50 can kill opponents much faster than the HDR. However, the AX-50 has a more observable bullet drop, meaning players need to aim with muscle memory, or else their “super-precise” shots might miss due to the bullet drop mechanic.

8 Quick Switch: Renetti

Snipers don’t just need a reliable sniper rifle. Rather, they need just as reliable a side-arm to ensure they won’t get outgunned in close-range firefights. If players don’t have the Amped Perk, they need a pistol with a decent swapping speed to exchange with their sniper fast enough. It’s for this reason that the Renetti (Secondary) serves as a decent sidearm.

Unlike other pistols, the Renetti boasts one of the highest swap speed amongst sidearms in the entire game. Moreover, outfitting the Renetti with the Flash Guard, MK3 Burst Mod, and FTAC SATUS CS-X can add a bit of range to the Renetti for enemies who try to outrun the sniper.

7 All-Around Assault: RAM-7

If not a pistol, snipers might need a lightweight assault rifle to compensate for short-range firefights. In that regard, the RAM-7 (Secondary) might serve just a purpose. Its mid-range stats get compensated with decent damage alongside control and mobility stats. As such, the RAM-7 becomes a perfect secondary weapon, especially for defensive and stealth-based builds.

In terms of attachments, the Mono Suppressor, FSS Ranger, and Tac Laser can easily increase the stealth potential of the RAM-7. Moreover, a Merc Foregrip, FORGE TAC Eclipse, and Stippled Grip Tape can increase ADS without sacrificing ranged performance – perfect for snipers forced out in the open.

6 Maximize Casualties: Frag Grenade

Sometimes, snipers can’t eliminate enemies with a long-range shot. Thankfully, a well-placed Frag Grenade (Lethal) can dish out enough damage to finish the job for them. Essentially, the three-second timer of Frag Grenades can eliminate opponents who try to escape the battlefield. Likewise, snipers can “manipulate” their targets with a well-timed Frag Grenade throw.

Either way, snipers can maximize Frag Grenades as it bounces off surfaces. In turn, Frag Grenades become great assets when pursuing targets who enter tight surfaces like rooms. Frags also work best against grouped enemies, if in case a sniper wants to target a specific foe.

5 Fire Will Do The Trick: Molotov Cocktail

Sometimes, the environment can kill players faster than a sniper bullet. Thankfully, the Molotov Cocktail (Lethal) can provide enough damage-over-time (DOT) that its burns can kill enemies or reduce their HP to something a good pistol can finish off. Unlike other grenades, a Molotov Cocktail became infamous for its ability to burn surfaces, inflicting damage to everyone in the area.

In turn, players can use Molotov Cocktails to flush out enemies from certain areas of interest. Likewise, snipers at a disadvantage can use a Molotov to secure their exits by distracting enemies. The few seconds enemies take to run from the flames can be enough to escape a compromised location.

4 Battlefield Awareness Rocks: Heartbeat Sensor

Unlike other fighters, snipers rely on precise attacks to cripple enemy forces. In long-term gunfights such as Warzone, snipers need to know exactly where the threat is coming from. Thankfully, the Heartbeat Sensor (Tactical) easily becomes their best friend in this situation. This tablet allows players to identify nearby enemies, allowing players to reposition themselves quickly to secure a kill. Unfortunately, this device doesn’t display obstacles, so the sniper needs to be wary of those as well.

Essentially, snipers can take full advantage of the Heartbeat Sensor to see if enemies are near objectives. Likewise, the Heartbeat Sensor beats the UAV and other Killstreaks in the early game, as it helps avoid wasting Killstreaks for easy first-minute kills.

3 Go Absolute Zero: Cold-Blooded

In Warzone, other players use gadgets to get the upper hand. Thankfully, Perks such as Cold-Blooded can help snipers avoid detection from the peskiest of foes. With Cold-Blooded, snipers essentially disable thermal optics and AI targeting. In turn, snipers won’t trigger High Alert warnings, and they can’t be marked by drones even if they’re visible in their cameras.

Essentially, snipers become almost undetectable if others rely on overrated thermals to spot enemies. Moreover, using a silencer with their weapons – especially snipers – allow stealth builds to kill enemies without catching their attention.

2 Go All Out: Overkill

Sometimes, a pistol just won’t cut it in encounters. Snipers who need extra firepower can use two Primaries instead of having a Secondary via the Overkill Perk. Thanks to this Perk, players can easily equip a sniper rifle and an assault rifle with ease – allowing them to even the odds regardless of their range. In turn, the Overkill Perk can pave the way for more versatile builds on the part of the sniper.

Interestingly, Overkill Perk does go well with other Perks, depending on the purpose. For instance, snipers who want faster weapon-swap times can use Overkill alongside the Amped Perk. Meanwhile, using these Perks alongside Heartbeat Sensor (Tactical) allows a versatile sniper to switch loadouts immediately without wasting time.

1 Go Over The Edge: High Alert

Snipers don’t just need to focus on landing the killing blow – they need to make sure enemies don’t spot them in the process. Thanks to the High Alert Perk, snipers can easily identify whenever they land on an enemy’s line of sight. For tactical snipers, this Perk lets them know if their position is compromised. For snipers on the run, High Alert lets them know if they need to run someplace else. Essentially, High Alert emphasizes survivability – perfect for snipers who can lose a gunfight easily without the right weapons.

Moreover, High Alert encourages defensive playstyles, which works best with players that like to hide such as snipers and rogue-type builds. This Perk works best with Cold-Blooded, which hides players from thermals, and Tracker that enables them to follow a footprint “trial” of an enemy.
