While buying the PlayStation 5 has been enough of a challenge for those looking to upgrade, even after obtaining it there are other accessories that are almost as elusive the console itself. One such accessory is the PS5 Pulse 3D Headset, which is designed specifically to go with the PS5, both from a design and feature standpoint. However, those on the hunt for one of the headsets are in luck, as it’s back in stock.
The PS5 Pulse 3D headset is available through PlayStation Direct, a direct-to-consumer online retailer created by Sony to sell consoles, hardware, and other gear. The website has been one of the most consistent with PS5 restocks, and now, the PS5 Pulse 3D Headset appears to be back in stock and available for order, at least in the US.
The headset retailers for $99 plus tax, though standard shipping and handling is free because of the item’s price point. However, those hoping to score multiple – for honest purposes or scalping – are out of luck. Currently, the headset is limited to one per household, though that should still be plenty for most people. Stock appears to be stable, but anyone that really wants to get their hands on a set will need to check sooner rather than later, just in case.

What makes the PS5 Pulse 3D Headset special is, on top of the competitive price point, it packs in 3D sound technology, which enhances game audio. That technology isn’t available in every game, but in Sony-made exclusives, like Spider-Man: Miles Morales, there’s a distinct effect for audio in-game, which can make the world feel richer. Additionally, the headset is backward compatible for those still using a PS4 but with plans to upgrade to the PS5.
Traditionally, stock on the PlayStation Direct website has sold out almost immediately, with many experiencing trouble getting through the checkout process even when there’s stock available for purchase. The headset remaining in-stock is a good sign, not just for the PS5 Pulse 3D Headset itself, but Sony’s supply chain in general. If availability for one product is balancing out, it may hint at other products being more readily available, like PS5 consoles themselves.
For now, all fans can do is try to be quick and gobble up the hardware that they want. The headset has reviewed well so far, so there’s likely a number of gamers looking to pair it with their PS5s. Hopefully, the stock issues are now gone for good.
