It’s only been a month since Immortals Fenyx Rising got released, and already it’s garnered widespread praise and love from gamers from all over the world. Fans of the game are already clamoring for more Immortals Fenyx Rising content, and it looks like the popular and successful studio Ubisoft is about to fulfill the wishes of the masses.
The DLCs are going to be released in just a couple of weeks, and right now there are a couple of things that are already known about the game’s post-launch contents. These pieces of information will surely excite those who absolutely loved the base game as it will expand upon the already-fascinating world of Immortals Fenyx Rising.
10 Not One, Not Two, But Three
It looks like there will not be one, not two, but three additional post-launch Immortals Fenyx Rising content updates. Each of these DLCs looks like they’re going to be incredibly distinct from one another and will surely provide their own levels of excitement.
The three planned post-launch contents are called A New God, Myths of the Eastern Realm, and The Lost Gods. Every single of these DLCs is unique, with different settings and even different protagonists at the forefront.
9 Season Pass Is Required
This information may not come as a massive surprise to those familiar with Ubisoft’s previous works, and others may find it disappointing, but there is indeed a price to pay if the players wish to access the game’s post-launch content.
The players will need to dish out a couple more bucks and purchase the game’s Season Pass if they want to play the DLCs. Thankfully, only one Season Pass is required for all three planned post-launch DLCs.
8 Leading Up To The DLCs’ Release
Those who have completed the game’s main campaign and have exhausted most of what you can do after finishing the story will be glad to know that the game will feature a ton of content leading up to the actual release of the DLCs.
These content packs will thankfully be free, and they will come in the form of daily quests, weekly quests, community contests, vault challenges, and even new cosmetics. Needless to say, those who have poured hours into the game will have to dedicate even more time if they want to experience what the game has to offer in its entirety.
7 A Bonus Quest
On top of the three planned post-launch DLCs and the ongoing daily and weekly quests, there is also one brand new bonus quest the players can undertake should they buy the game’s Season Pass.
This bonus content is a quest the players can do right now called When the Road Gets Rocky. This bonus quest will further explore the relationship and dynamic between Fenyx and Hermes, so those who enjoyed the interaction and chemistry between the two in the base game will surely find this bonus quest a delightful treat.
6 A New God
The first planned post-launch DLC for Immortals Fenyx Rising is called A New God. The story of the DLC will apparently begin right where the end of the base game’s main campaign left off.
The players will continue playing as Fenyx in this DLC, and it will take them to places they’ve never explored before. The A New God DLC will allow the players to explore Olympus, the very home of the gods, for the very first time, and it will provide them with even more puzzles and adventures to complete.
5 Myths Of The Eastern Realm
The game’s second DLC will be called Myths of the Eastern Realm. This DLC will send players to a whole new different world. Instead of being set in the world of Greek mythology, the players will instead traverse the lands of ancient China.
The players will have to say goodbye to Fenyx in this second DLC, as it will feature a new protagonist. Not much else is known about the protagonist, but needless to say, if the game decided to bench Fenyx to highlight this new character, there has to be a good reason for it.
4 What Else Is New In The Eastern Realm?
On top of being set in a completely new environment and featuring a new protagonist, Immortals Fenyx Rising‘s second DLC will also feature a whole new range of monsters, enemies, and gods from Chinese mythology. The new protagonist will also have a very unique fighting style different from that of Fenyx’s.
Interestingly, this expansion will not be made by Ubisoft Quebec, the same Ubisoft studio that created the base game. Instead, it will be led by Ubisoft Chengdu, Ubisoft’s studio located in China.
3 The Lost Gods
The third, and for now, the final planned post-content DLC for Immortals Fenyx Rising is The Lost Gods. This DLC will be sending the players back to the Greek world, but looking at the gameplay footage of the DLC will already make players know how different this DLC is going to be.
First things first, this DLC will shake things up by completely changing the game’s perspective. Instead of the third-person perspective of the base game, this DLC will feature a top-down isometric brawler gameplay. On top of that, it will also feature a new protagonist named Ash.
2 Who Are The Lost Gods?
While the reception for Immortals Fenyx Rising was vastly positive, there is one common criticism that is shared by many. There aren’t as many gods in the game as the players wished there to be. As everyone now knows, this was a deliberate decision in order to reserve the rest of the gods in an expansion. We also now know that expansion to be the one called The Lost Gods.
From the marketing material, it seems the third DLC will feature never-seen-before in-game gods such as Poseidon, Hades, Hestia, Demeter, and Boreas.
1 How Will The Expansions Tie In With The Main Story?
The first DLC will take the players right after the events of the main game. During the main campaign, Fenyx has earned the favors of the gods that were rescued. In the A New God DLC, Fenyx will apparently earn the favor of Zeus.
The second DLC, although set in a completely different location, will still be set in the same universe as the base game. Finally, the third DLC will feature the gods that were missing in the base game. It will be the responsibility of the new protagonist to convince the lost gods to return to the Greek pantheon, after they left for varying reasons, but mainly and commonly due to a disagreement with Zeus.
