In Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, Ubisoft made sure to implement vast amounts of Nordic culture into the game for players to experience. Some of these real life aspects of Assassin’s Creed Valhalla were based on actual history, while others lean more towards fairytales.
Some of these myths are the nine legendary animals that players can hunt to gain more XP for Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, learn more about the land, and collect materials. One of these beasts, the mystical Blood Swine, is a large bloodthirsty boar that terrorizes the townsfolk in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla.
This battle can be tricky; unlike other legendary animals in video games, this boar is a little more cunning in combat. For players looking for help on how to defeat the Blood Swine and where to find it, here is all the necessary information.
The Blood Swine is located in the Eurviscire region of the Assassin’s Creed Valhalla map, specifically in Bleasby Swamp. There should be a huge blue paw print on the map that will indicate the exact location. Players should proceed with caution when in the area; the Blood Swine is known to charge out of tall grass, even when unprovoked suddenly. Immediately dodge to the side to avoid the boar’s attack.
The trick to fighting the Blood Swine is quickly dodging to the side and slashing at the boar. When that’s over, the Blood Swine stealthily retreats into the tall grass and will calmly wait for another chance to strike. While gamers may struggle to see the boar, they can look at the dirt that gets kicked up into the air, meaning the Blood Swine is getting ready to attack from that direction.
Single-handed weapons in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla are recommended since gamers will land more hits in with the time available. The weak points on the boar should be the main priority, which is the boar’s legs. Performing perfect dodges will slow downtime and will also be great for dealing more damage. Doing this will take the stun bar down and enable the player to run in and perform a stun move quickly.
The only other thing that gamers need to look out for is the legendary Blood Swine’s back kick. So stay away from the back and focusing on the sides should ensure victory. Once the boar is defeated, the players will be rewarded with a lot of XP, leather materials, and another piece of Eurviscire Mystery. On top of that, the Skratti Head’s schematic is another nice trophy to craft for Eivor’s settlement.
Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is available now for PC, PS4, PS5, Stadia, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
