Zombies and the horror genre, across all media, have seen a steady rise in both popularity and offerings from all major entertainment outlets, video games included. Among the more unique in this genre, is the third person multiplayer shooting game, Zombie Army 4: Dead War.
Fans of this gory and frantically paced zombie shooter will have plenty more to experience thanks to developers Rebellion Developments. The company took to YouTube in a flashy and action packed trailer to highlight the explosive end of Zombie Army 4: Dead War‘s second season.
Comically and cleverly titled, Dead Zeppelin, the conclusion to the season 2 campaign was given nearly a minute and a half of gameplay footage and information for fans to appreciate. Taking place in and around what appears to be a blimp factory, the video highlights several interesting updates ranging from weapons, challenges, skins, and more. The trailer highlights the new Jun Night Ops character skin, new weapons the 7.65mm Polizeipistole and Nagant M1895. as well as new head gear and weapon skins.
Set in the year 1946, one year after Adolf Hitler was defeated by the Resistance and banished to hell, Zombie Army 4 has a style and backdrop that makes it stand out from most other zombie games. Released on February 4th 2020, it serves as a sequel to the 2015 compilation game Zombie Army Trilogy, which originally was conceived as a spin-off to the Sniper Elite series. Metacritic rates the PlayStation 4 version of the game as mixed to average with a 72, while the Xbox One version faired a bit better with a generally favorable 77.
The reviews of Zombie Army 4: Dead War seem to indicate a persistent fun in the moment to moment gameplay. With robust and consistent updates by developers that clearly care about both the game and fan base, it would appear that this long running series is no where near its final resting place.
