Call of Duty: Warzone Glitch Makes Music Play Endlessly

Some unlucky Call of Duty: Warzone players may be finding that there can be too much of a good thing, as a bug is causing music to be heard even after players leave their vehicles. Though the glitch may be funny at first, fans of Call of Duty: Warzone may find it a bit more off-putting when they realize how much it impacts their strategizing.

The Call of Duty: Warzone music bug first appeared in the game back in October, distracting players before Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War even released. Triggering completely at random when players listening to music exit their vehicle, the glitch impacts entire squads, causing them to hear the game’s licensed music. Whether it’s Skrillex, DMX, or soundtracks from classic Call of Duty games, Call of Duty: Warzone’s War Tracks feature seems to have an unsolved bug attached.

While it is the Call of Duty: Warzone vehicles themselves that initially trigger the problem, destroying them does nothing, leaving players stuck to deal with the sounds of music — heavily impacting their ability to hear footsteps. The latest appearance of the bug sees Redditor ThePartsGuy making light of the issue, as him and his squad are impacted by the issue. While ThePartGuy “is vibing” with the music, his friend group is less enthused, yelling “shutup” at their copies of the game.

Eventually, the song Bangarang comes to an end, leading the group of players to think that their suffering has come to an end and that the match’s sound would return to normal. After a brief lull, though, more dubstep music returns, with the game simply moving on to the next licensed song in the playlist. While the players thankfully did not have on the Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War music pack that includes Rick Rolling, they still likely saw an unfortunate end due to their match by an equally funny and frustrating bug.

With the music bug having been in the game for so long, though, those experienced with the problem posted a few suggestions in the comments section of ThePartGuy’s post. Apparently, players can fix this Call of Duty: Warzone issue by getting back in a vehicle and turning War Tracks off. If none are nearby, though, another option sees battle royale fans pausing and going into their settings. From there, fixing the issue is as simple as turning the War Tracks volume down to 0.

While an official fix would be nice to see, at least players have devised some effective workarounds for the issue. For now, though, players may want to avoid using the War Tracks from Call of Duty’s Battle Passes, as doing so could prevent a major headache before it happens.

Call of Duty: Warzone is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
