Pokemon GO: What Is The Johto Legendary Raid Schedule?

Pokemon GO players have had an incredibly busy January with a ton of chances to fill in missing Pokedex spots and pick up some powerful Legendary Pokemon from Battle Raids to add to their collections. The chance to revisit each generation is nearly over, but Johto fans still have some excitement ahead. Although every other celebration week has included one or two special Legendary Battle Raid bosses appearing during the event, Johto is switching it up by releasing the three popular Legendary Pokemon to Battle Raids after the weeklong celebration.

The trio of Legendary Pokemon from the Johto region are pretty popular and still manage to hold important spots in the Pokemon GO metagame even years after they were initially released. Most veteran players have had plenty of chances to encounter and catch Entei, Raikou, and Suicune over the years, so it will be interesting to see how popular these 5-star Battle Raids are when the first round kicks off in Pokemon GO on Tuesday, January 26.

Each of the three Legendary Pokemon will have almost a full week in the spotlight, which means players can take their time and not worry quite as much about having to burn through a ton of Premium Raid Passes in a hurry to have the chance to encounter and catch all three of the creatures.  Keep in mind that each of these Legendaries each require their own special set of counters as well, so players should take some time to plan ahead and see what they need to power up and bring to the table for each of the big battles.

Entei will be appearing in five-star raids from Tuesday, January 26, 2021, at 10:00 a.m. to Sunday, January 31, 2021, at 10:00 a.m. local time.

Raikou will be appearing in five-star raids from Sunday, January 31, 2021, at 10:00 a.m. to Thursday, February 4, 2021, at 10:00 a.m. local time.

Suicune will be appearing in five-star raids from Thursday, February 4, 2021, at 10:00 a.m. to Tuesday, February 9, 2021, at 10:00 a.m. local time.

Although Entei, Raikou, and Suicune are Pokemon that the majority of players already obtained at some point earlier in the game, it still may be exciting for some to have the chance to participate in these Battle Raids again. Since they are appearing one at a time, many players will likely at least use their daily free Raid Pass to revisit these old battles a handful of times over the course of the next few weeks.

As trainers continue working through these amazing Celebration events and enjoying the new era of the GO Beyond update as they count down to the next season, they may want to keep hunting down the best Unova Pokemon in the game if improving their Battle Raid rosters and completing their Pokedex is their primary goal. Be sure to check back in the near future for more Pokemon GO strategy guides, news, and updates. Until then, good luck out there, trainers!
