Hunt: Showdown Adds New Legendary Hunter and Weapon DLC

New DLC has just been added to Hunt: Showdown, Crytek’s unique survival PVP and PVE horror game. The cosmetic DLC is available now on both PC and console, allowing players to show off on the gruesome and monster-filled lands of the bayou.

Crytek has big things planned for 2021 in Hunt: Showdown. but it is too early in the year for those massive gameplay changes and content drops. 2021 will likely see a new map, a creepy crow boss, an updated post-action report, tons of fresh weapons, and more. But to keep players engaged in the meantime, the developer has added some Legendary DLC.

For starters, the Trick Shooter DLC came to Steam on PC on January 21 and then dropped a few days later on PlayStation and Xbox consoles on January 25. Additionally, the Ronin DLC has been available on the PC since December for Hunt: Showdown players. However, it also dropped on consoles for the first time on consoles on January 25.

The Trick Shooter DLC costs players $6.99 USD and comes with a Legendary Hunter named Carter and two weapons. Carter comes from Wild Wild West show business and is a sharpshooter. His Bear’s Leg Winfield M1873C Vandal Deadeye is good at picking off enemies at a distance and his aptly named Carter’s Quickshot Specter (shotgun) should be effective at close range. The variety of the weapons in this DLC pack makes for a good strategy in Hunt: Showdown.

Meanwhile, the Ronin DLC pack also provides Legendary gear, albeit one that some of the fanbase considered a bit jarring. With the theme of the game being the Louisiana bayou in the late 1800s, the Japanese Tokugawa shogunate (Ronin) Hunter skin may feel out of place. However, The Tanto blade and the Seinan Sharpshooter (Springfield 1866) still get the job done on the battlefield. And over time, Crytek has been adding Hunters to the game that are less realistic, like adding Ebeneezer Scrooge to Hunt: Showdown, a zombie-like Hunter named The Revenant, and more. Along with also costing $6.99 USD, console players can purchase both the Ronin and The Trick Shooter DLCs as a bundle for $9.99 USD.

Hunt: Showdown is out now for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
