There is an ongoing struggle between the light and the dark side in a galaxy far away. For decades, they have fought with many heroes and villains rising to the occasion, vying for control of the galaxy. Jedi versus Sith, both sides use the force, yet one controls it while the other fully embraces it.
However, who exactly is the best hero that the light side has to offer. Well, in Star Wars Battlefront II, there are 11 ready to take up arms. Each hero has their own unique set of skills, and each brings new offerings for aid on the battlefield. It is now time to decide who leads the charge, and who should stay on the ship.
11 Finn
Finn, much like his movie counterpart, is not going to make much of an impact on the battlefield. At least when you compare him to others on this list anyway. Moreover, Finn takes more damage when compared to the likes of Leia. His health bar can be decimated in a matter of seconds, especially when confronted with multiple foes.
He could be a decent starter character, canceling out other naive enemies on the battlefield. Additionally, he can give the more advanced heroes an opening to cause some damage.
10 BB-8
Okay, BB-8 is a serious contender for the best robot in the Star Wars franchise. However, this does not mean the lovable bot is a great hero in Star Wars Battlefront II.
He can prove useful, given his healing capabilities. Moreover, given his small stature, it is possible for enemies to overlook BB-8. On the whole, BB-8 is a supporting character. But, unlike other light side heroes, he lacks the ability to be seriously dangerous in combat.
9 Anakin Skywalker
Before he was Darth Vader, Anakin Skywalker fought for the light side. Naturally, this makes him quite the powerful Jedi. However, his abilities are lacking in comparison to his darker side. Anakin certainly isn’t the star of the show on the light side of the force.
Seriously, Darth Vader trumps Anakin Skywalker any day. The moral of the story is, embrace the dark side.
8 Obi-Wan Kenobi
Obi-Wan Kenobi is overwhelmingly average. It is unfortunate, but the Jedi general really has nothing special going for him in Battlefront II.
Naturally, he can tear down enemies with his lightsaber. However, on the abilities front, Obi-Wan lacks anything unique; they are pretty standard. His restrictive mind trick does little to help when faced with overwhelming odds. Meanwhile, should Obi-Wan choose to use his rush attack, there is a chance he will bypass his foes entirely.
7 Luke Skywalker
There is nothing wrong with Luke Skywalker. He is a great introductory hero for Star Wars Battlefront II. However, there are other Jedi that prove to be a tougher foe on the battlefield.
The son of Vader, like any other lightsaber wielder, can block bullets at the cost of stamina. On top of that, he is able to throw enemies and perform a strong combo with his lightsaber. Skywalker finds himself in the middle of the pack through being a solid starter. However, as players progress, they may move onto heroes that are more than just offense.
6 Han Solo
The loveable rogue known as Han Solo is no slouch in Star Wars Battlefront II. However, there are a few minor flaws faced by the father of Kylo Ren.
His gun has a tendency to overheat pretty quickly. When facing off against several foes, this can be Solo’s undoing. On the flip side, the pistol does do considerable damage. Though, there is no denying that his wife is the winner in this firefight.
5 Chewbacca
The world loves Chewbacca, and with good reason. Thankfully, he also happens to be one of the better light side heroes in Star Wars Battlefront II.
Well, Chewie is better should a player take the time to get used to him. He is built for a close-up battle, with his crossbow that serves as more of a shotgun. Naturally, his damage output is high, but due to using a crossbow, few bullets are shot before overheating.
4 Lando Calrissian
Of all the shooter heroes, Lando had to fall somewhere near the top. However, he certainly doesn’t hold a candle to the likes of Leia. In terms of accuracy, his pistol is easy to use and has little recoil. He has smoke grenades at his disposal to make the most of his pistol scope.
Honestly, when factoring in the use of smoke, Lando does become considerably more dangerous. If a player finds themselves in a smoke cloud with this general on the loose, death is sure to meet them.
3 Rey
The granddaughter of Emperor Palpatine is undoubtedly a force to be reckoned with. On the battlefield, Rey has some devastating abilities that can wipe out a crowd. With enough practice, a player can be a serious contender with this Jedi at their side. Overall, Rey is an offensive character. She doesn’t offer much in terms of support, but she can be devastating on the battlefield. Victory is within grasp if this young Jedi is leading the charge.
2 Yoda
Easily one of the most popular hero choices, Yoda has the potential to tear apart any Sith. Besides wielding a lightsaber, which causes immense damage, the Jedi master also has healing capabilities.
As such, he can be a crucial component in gaining victory. Moreover, while multiple Jedi have a push back ability, Yoda’s causes considerable damage. Also, the ability can have its range and damage output increased when Yoda uses his block skill. Truly, the force is strong with this one, hmm.
1 Leia
The Princess is easily one of the most powerful light side heroes around. Should she be used correctly, Leia may just be the most powerful shooter on the light side.
Her pistol is undeniably powerful, with a burst rifle ready at hand should the crowd become too much. Moreover, the daughter of Vader is able to heal her squad and herself. Furthermore, the accuracy of her pistol is high, with the ability to fire off several rounds before overheating occurs. If only Jabba could see her now.
