Virtual Reality games are continuing to set new standards in areas of gameplay, graphics, and more. 2020 was another banner year for VR games, and 2021 looks to keep the momentum going. The most recent example of this is Ryte: The Eye Of Atlantis.
Ryte: The Eye of Atlantis is a VR adventure game that allows players to travel back and experience the mythical world of Atlantis. It is inspired by Greek mythology, as well as the beloved classic video game Myst, which is currently getting a remake from the original developer.
The dreamlike adventure is described as an alternate history, one where players can wield supernatural powers and perhaps even prevent a global catastrophe. There will also be multiple endings in the game, as difficult moral decisions will apparently have massive ramifications. Atlantis has long been a wonder for curious minds, and now players will be able to see it up close in VR. Ryte: The Eye of Atlantis is available now on the Steam store, and it will be coming soon to the Oculus Store.
As far as the gameplay, Ryte: The Eye of Atlantis offers teleportation style movement–meaning players do not have the ability to move freely throughout the world–as compared to VR titles like Medal of Honor: Above and Beyond which allow freedom of movement. Ryte: The Eye of Atlantis is much slower-paced and focuses on physics-based puzzles and logical mind-bending trickery. Players will decode secrets and gather clues, unlock mythical abilities, use complex mechanisms to solve puzzles, and more.
Ryte: The Eye of Atlantis is available now Steam and is coming soon to the Oculus Store.
