Trophy hunters can rev their engines, because the list for Destruction AllStars is finally out. The upcoming vehicle-based battle royale Destruction AllStars is looking like it will have plenty of challenges for players to chase.
As is standard, many games on PlayStation come with a list of extra objectives known as trophies. Upon completion, players typically get a platinum trophy and a boost to their individual profile level. Destruction AllStars will be following this trend, including the rare platinum.
Gamers of all types will be happy to hear that the trophies range from fun to brutal. Some of the easier objectives involve completing and winning tutorials. From the Mayhem Tutorial to the Carnado Tutorial, players should have little difficulty here. That said, some of the missions will require patience to complete. One, for example, demands 100 Wrecks in any mode, which should be simple despite the grind.
On the other hand, a bunch of the upcoming trophies should test fans. For instance, wrecking all enemies with Barong’s Countdown in an Online match. As a multiplayer title, hitting many targets with a single ability usage, like Xero’s X-Ray or Smoke Commander’s Smoke, should be tough. One of the most difficult will be winning 50 Online matches. For some players, this trophy will likely take a significant amount of time to achieve.
Trophies are a great way of adding content for players to engage with. With it being available as a game in February’s PS Plus titles, no doubt a fair amount of gamers will give it a try. As another entry to the battle royale genre, it is good news that the trophies involve Destruction AllStars‘ wide variety of modes. Some of the top games like this only offer one type of mode, so this should be a nice change of pace. The other upside is that the trophy list is not too massive, so fans will likely be able to complete it.
Though, some may be concerned with the competitive style trophies. Winning a match can be dependent on a variety of factors, including a fair matchmaking system. With these characteristics still up in the air, even after the State of Play, it is hard to say if collecting the trophies will be fair. Granted, it could just be a matter of grinding the game to complete some of the harder challenges. Fortunately, PlayStation fans will have plenty to look forward to when Destruction AllStars comes out.
Destruction AllStars is set to release on February 2 for PS5.
